When was the last Time portland lost to Phoenix? The entire Blazers franchise has the Suns' number

Suns had our number as recently as 2 seasons ago, I believe. They used to always give us trouble.

Just my two cents I dont ‘know’ you or anything like that but I dont think your basketball knowledge would be your issue for tv, I feel like you might struggle keeping a cool calm head when someone says something you just think is stupid lol. I dont mean you’re gonna like pick up a chair and go bobby knight style, you just cant lay into someone for disagreeing with you on TV, unless thats the shows schtick, like first take or something... but I could be dead wrong here, Id still love to see you guys have a chance or to do a podcast.

I went on a business radio show to be interviewed about how my business came to be several years ago. I thought it went okay. When I listened back to it I was cringing the entire time with how many ummmms there were. I didn't feel during the interview that I was like that but I think I said um about 100 times in about 10 minutes.

I wish I could have that one back, ha ha. I doubt many people heard it though. Talking hoops is a little easier.

There's not many bigger 4s and even then I'm not worried about getting beat inside by a PF. If Utah want3d to run their offense through clogged Derrick Favors post-ups, then fine by me.

Yeah that was the exact team I had in mind. They are one of the bigger teams. As you alluded to most PF's are not most teams top scorers and if they are....... they often score from the perimeter anyways. But as you said let them take more shots than normal if it means taking the ball out of their better players hands. Plus we are mostly talking about the other teams 2nd unit.

I cant stand Isaac Ropp if Im honest, he just moans all the freaking time, he basically hates everything but golf and drinking (which hey whatever he wants to do). He has no takes on sports that are worth anything, he just complains constantly. He doesnt even feign interest in ANY of the local teams.

He is by far the worst part of the afternoon show in my opinion.

Then again, the highest rated local sports program in Portland for years. I don't see him as being a complainer but he is in stark contrast to many of the Portland 'homers'. He brings up legitimate critiques and calls it like it is. Most big city sports hosts are much more like he is. In Portland, many people may not like it compared to the 'everything is Roses' outlook.....but the ratings say that many more people like his show than not.

I freaking love Ropp for being honest. But really, I love the chemistry between Ropp and Suke. I won't listen to anything else in the afternoon.

Nah he doesnt call things like it is, because he doesnt even watch, he admits to it. He has no idea what he’s talking about like 90% of the time. I dont need him to tell me everything is awesome. He watches like 5 Blazer games a year, has no CBA knowledge whatsoever, has no idea what the NBA landscape is like at all. Then decides to give his ‘hot takes’ with no knowledge of the subject he is referencing. It goes way beyond the Blazers though, I find him to be that way about basically everything.

My experience in larger markets is the talking heads are usually really fiery / passionate and yeah very negative but they dont come off as having no idea what they’re talking about.

You dont do sports in NY and talk about the yankees unless you have a clue what you’re talking about and Rupp routinely, “calls it like it is”, about subjects he doesnt know...

That's pretty much why I like them. It gives me little sports and lots of silly banter. I can only handle so much sports.
