I hope they keep him at the 4, as I think he's better suited for that.

Didn't he play both spots last night? He started out slow at PF, but looked better as the night went on. When Nurk was on the floor with him, he was all PF, but without Nurk it seemed like he played some center....and looked good.

So pre-season comes to an end. They now have some game film to work with and 5 full days to work on things. They will make decisions on who will be in a Blazer uniform/Two way deals and who will be gone.
We pretty much watched what we all expected through the games played. We watched them lose two games to good teams and win against sub par teams. I just don't put much stock into playing two of the very worst teams in the western conference during pre-season to get good looks at what the team can do. GS played the Lakers twice and Houston played San Antonio, Indiana and Memphis a couple times. The Thunder played Detroit, Minny, Atlanta and Milwaukie. You get my point here. The Blazers did not come up against great talent in the pre-season. They will start the season on a three game home stand against the Lakers, San Antonio and Washington. The Wizards will be on their first road game and will be tough as usual looking at GS after Portland.

Not sure i am real comfortable going into this season. Huge holes are very easy to see in this team and i still don't see any replacement for Davis. Layman does indeed seem to be making strides and they will need him for sure. But Harkless is still out. Last night KC actually said Moe Harkless was still not comfortable playing on "HIS KNEE". I'm interested in this whole thing because we have been told it is in fact his ankle. If Moe is out because of his knee then you might as well expect him to miss large amounts of the season. We have all seen this before.

I learned very little I didn't already know from watching this pre-season. Pretty much hold the exact same position i had before any games were played. This is a 42-44 win team that will maybe make the playoffs if they don't come up against any major injuries. If they are an 8th seed they are looking at another sweep at the hands of the Warriors and we can all just expect another long summer next year.

I know they will miss Davis, however I think between Collins, Leonard, Biggie & Jake they can offset much of his production. However, his leadership and relentless hustle around the hoop will be missed.

Seven players in double figures and none of them were Lillard!!!
Not in a million years would anyone predict that.
Is this the year everything comes together and we make a serious run?

actually, i think you're right @BonesJones
Thank. Fucking. God.

Holton and Kent provide decent analysis. I don't give two shits that they don't act like animated carnival barkers and I thank God they don't make the show about themselves like seemingly every other show on television.

Slow down there KingBailey

That kind of hyperbole requires its own mocking thread.

Learn the troll, then post.

So wait, Collins had a fantastic game at the 4......who would a thunk it?
Certainly not the supposed "anonymous scout" in that other thread a couple days ago. No wonder the guy was anonymous, haha

I don't expect Caleb to be part of the rotation

Zach started at the 4 but still looked better doing center type things. Sacramento playing 2 fairly traditional bigs most of the game also helped him.

What I like we got guys that can take the ball off the rim and push the pace. In past we hand the ball to Dame and they slowly bring the ball up and get in a set offense. We actually got some guards that rebounds pretty good and kind also got SF in Layman that also handles the ball decent. If I was Harkless you better come back quick or you just might loose your job.

Meyers is one guy who looks for a long outlet the moment he gets a rebound. I like that.

You’re kidding right?

No im not. Seven players had double figures and dame only had 7 points.

Thats a recipe for success.
We i can't argue the base premise. But i would begin with a response with we need double figures out of Dame and six others. Then i would like to see it against a quality opponent. But i applaud your positive attitude and bright outlook.
