#ThugLivesMatterOH MY GOD THIS IS WHY I DON'T POST ON THIS HERE MESSAGE BOARD ANYMORE.
and the GNP...it's a fact that fiscal success contributes to global warming! Stop making money!Because as the earth's "temperature" (whatever that means) goes up, so does our life expectancy.

Channel Lenin and Stalin back from the dead?If your objective was to achieve this:

How would you go about it?
Nah. More like the morons protesting at the world bank when they have their meetings.Channel Lenin and Stalin back from the dead?
nah, they both sucked...I guess the zombie bird post should've included the dead oceans and the banning of physical currency or production of useless crap in the whole global warming theme....but there's that line in the sand....if ya ain't a staunch this...you must be a commie!Channel Lenin and Stalin back from the dead?
It's actually a good question although I was joking. I see a real advantage in one currency and a global federation that has member states and not countries. World union of sorts. Eliminate the money market and make better use of resources given the planet's diversity. I know it's a sci-fi movie but I think nationalism and lack of cooperation are big problems in management of the balance between modern civilization and the planet. I don't think physical money is necessary at all...electronic transfer of value is more efficient. If your objective was to achieve this:

I agree, it's not happening anytime soon. The whole concept of eliminating nations and unifying the planet and the infrastructure is pure fantasy. Imagine no travel restrictions or passports or currency exchange..free to live and prosper wherever you like. My wife and I would love to snowbird between her home and mine without the visas and restrictions and be free to work both places. I like the global citizen concept. I don't think George Soros or Ruppert Murdoch will agreeIf one wants to implement anti-capitalism, they have to destroy capitalism first (since capitalism works so well and is the defacto system).
How do you destroy capitalism? Legislation, regulation, gross mismanagement/investing of government funds, etc.
Some folks believe that capitalism will destroy itself just like empires have destroyed themselves. Could take hundreds of years but I won't be around to see itIf one wants to implement anti-capitalism, they have to destroy capitalism first (since capitalism works so well and is the defacto system).

We can't destroy the planet but we can destroy our existence on the planet.

Solar systems now cost around $3.20 per watt. There is a federal tax credit (not write off) of 20% spent which deducts 64¢. Net price of $2.16 per watt.Capitalism fails when you build a widget for $2 and sell it for $1. Like solar panels. So make more of them!

They have 15 years of life guaranteed. You get, on average, of 4 hours per day of power generated. On average, the system generates 4 watts per day x 365 days = 1,440 watts per year, which is roughly 1.4 kWH per year. Edison charges about 18¢ per kWh, so that 1 watt generates 25¢ per year, costs $2.16, so it would take about 5 years to be paid off.
When the system runs for 15 years, you have 10 years of 25¢ per year of free energy, which is $25 profit for $2.16 spent.
$80k - 16k fed discount = 64k. 80k gives you a 25 kW system. That produces 100kwH per day x .22 kWh = $22 saved per day. Multiply that with 365 = $8k+ per year. That's only at a savings rate of .22 per kWH, which we all know isn't possible. In this scenario, he would pay off the system in 8 years, which is very conservative numbers. There is 7 more guaranteed years on the system, so he would earn $56k on investment conservatively.Blah blah blah. I visited a friend in the desert who had solar done. It cost him $80,000. Electric bills there are normally $400 in the dead of summer.
Breaks even in 200 months, or 17 years.
God gave all of us the ability to be dumbasses

Your math is off
You're friend is generating 30 times more electricity than he consumes. Your friend is an idiot unless the electric company is buying back the electricity. My math isn't off.
His system cost $80,000. His electric bill was $400/month.
$80000/$400 = 200 months. 200 months/12 months per year = 16.7 years.
It doesn't matter who pays the $80,000, it's still a hit to "capitalism."

Do your homework.

C'mon Denny. You're a capitalist. You're gonna trust that site over Forbes? Why? Because it supports your claim?![]()
