Mark Warkentien will NOT be a candidate for this job

What's your take on that? I just find it interesting how emphatic the usually vanilla Miller is on most matters. It makes me wonder what was really going on behind the scenes.

Wow, Nate still talking about KP's role/decisions in the present tense.

Nate will be the next to leave sometime next season after this dysfunctional mess gets off to a slow start.

Wow, Nate is not happy at all.

LOL

I'll ignore every thing you say about McMillan from now on.

Go ahead and joke, but if you take his first 2 years with his shitty teams, and Nate's forst 2 years with his shitty teams....McHale looks good.

He is piss poor as a GM, but as a coach, he is alright.

Kevin McHale is actually a good coach

I'm with you, MM. All evidence points to him being pretty good as a coach.

As a GM? HORRIBLE. As a coach? Better than the alternatives he's replaced :)

Pritchard to Denver, Warkentien jobless.

;)

Pritchard has been angling for Warkentien's job for years, undermining him constantly. Looks like he finally succeeded.

THAT made you wonder what is going on behind the scenes? Where have you been since Penn was fired?

It kind of blows up the whole theory that Warkentien had the inside track and was a shoe-in once KP was out ... it just changes things that were suspected is all.

Does anyone think that there is legs to the Petrie thing?

His contract makes me say no, the fact that his wife was in town makes me say maybe ... I don't know :dunno:

My sister is friends with his daughters. I just tried to call our girl but she didn't answer. She's probably gone to bed.

 wish I would have thought of that an hour ago.

I'll call her in the morning and snoop around :)

damn that video was hissy to all hell

McHale was a fine coach. He had that Timberwolves team going once he took over before Jefferson blew out his knee.

With Kevin Garnett, he went 19-12 as a coach in 2004-05.

And while he had a losing record in 2008-09, the team performed much better after he took over (20-43, 0.317) than they did under Randy Wittman (4-15, 0.211).

He is also good at developing big men. I'd love to see him brought in as a big man coach to work with Greg Oden on his low post moves and footwork.

Move forward??? FUCK, man. Paying fans are entitled to know WHY THE FUCK you fired him. Until that question is answered, we can NOT move forward.

I work at Genentech. If Genentech decided to fire a top manager, would everyone taking their chemo drugs be "entitled to know WHY THE FUCK" he/she was fired? Would you refuse to take your chemo until they told you?

I probably would not know, and I work here.

we are NEVER going to know the reason. that much is clear.

Let's put it this way.

Fans are not the people taking their drugs. .They would be among the investors (in this case, financially and emotionally). If the top manager was a public figure that was one of the parties primarily responsible for the company's success, as an investor, I should know why he was unceremoniously fired and publicly humiliated.

31% versus 21%. Who fucking cares? Both are brutal and not the sign of a "good coach".

Absolutely right. Drugs are a necessity for the people that take them, the Blazers are an indulgence. If you are in the entertainment business - and it was shown that having an emotional connection to the individuals is important for financial success via fans voting with their wallets (See Blazers, Jail) - this was a bad, bad business decision.
