So, while I am a big fan of S2, I feel like it might be a tad Blazer-centric. We need some more fans of OTHER teams to troll, mock, and incense, so that maybe we will stop doing it to ourselves! Here is a proposal to get things moving.

  1. We choose another team to temporarily "adopt".
  2. Each of us picks another known RipCityTwo poster and becomes a version of that poster for our adopted team.
  3. The polls, unsupported assertions, insults, and smart-assishness flows out like sweet, sweet honey, attracting actual fans to join into the fray.
  4. We get tired of things and retreat back to our Blazer board.

just really say what you mean. You want to go trolling.:tsktsk:

Since you won't get volunteers for 29 other teams, why don't you assign the 29 biggest Blazer posters to 1 team each. Tell them to get familiar with the roster of their adopted team. Require 1 post per day, to start.

This will generate revenge from the 29 teams and the Blazer board will get about 29 additional troll posts per day. There may be a murder or violence but Denny will get richer and we'll be entertained as he regales us with tales of his latest trip to Tahiti.

I do like me a good Tahiti story.

As for your recommendation, I thought about that. But it doesn't seem like much action if the posts are all spread out amongst each and every team -- that just looks like a bunch of nutjobs talking to themselves. Now concentrate all those nutjobs in one team's forum -- say we choose Milwaukie -- and we ALL research that team's history, players, coaching staff, local beat writers, etc... We educate ourselves about another team, have a good time making crazy arguments and wild proposals, maybe cook up a few far-fetched trade rumors, and hey-presto: it's a thriving forum, bound to attract more ACTUAL Bucks fans. Once the pump is primed and the Buck fans are capable of supporting the silly arguments on their own, we disappear into the night and choose a different team. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, we're just dreaming. People don't really have the energy to do this. MysteryMan has it right.
