I just want to get this in writing. Public poll. Make your choice, will be bumped.

You may want to make it a public poll first.
What does Pro-Oden and Anti-Oden mean?
This is me:
I'm extremely disappointed in his play and in his injuries (not his fault, but just as disappointing), but I do hope he gets better and becomes an active player in this league, if not a dominant force. It doesn't look good, but I absolutely want him to do well. That game against the Knicks (17 pts, 12 rebs, 6 blks) gives me hope.
I mean, what the fuck is Anti-Oden? Who on earth wants him to play badly?
Bill Simmons. Every fan of every other team in the NBA.
I can't participate in your poll because the two options are extremes that don't reflect my thinking at all.
For the record, I'm still glad that we drafted Oden. Durant is a talented scorer, but those types of players are much more common than dominating big men. I think Oden still has a chance to be that.
Am I disappointed in Oden so far? Yes. Do I think less of him than I did when he was drafted? Yes. Am I growing more skeptical of him with each passing day? Yes.
But . . . do I still hope and pray he turns into a great center? YES. YES. YES!

come on man, take a stance and roll the dice.
So you admit it is a roll of the dice and no longer a sure thing.
Hey, you're the one who defined "pro-Oden" as "Yes, Oden will be a valuable commodity to multiple championships." That's a huge statement that I can't say with any confidence right now. If you had defined "pro-Oden" as "Yes, I think he will still develop into a quality big man who can anchor this team defensively for many years," I probably would have said, "Yes." That seems much more reasonable to me.come on man, take a stance and roll the dice. I'm disappointed in Oden this year but I still believe, so I am pro-Oden.

Fine. I can live with that. You do realize, however, that you are backtracking from the choice you stated in your poll?I believe Oden on the blazers will keep us in the championship scene for as long as he's here, well...when he sacks up in the next year or two. I'm not saying he's guaranteeing championships, but he is a commodity if we are to win them. I think without his contributions, we won't win with what we have (or his replacement in theory in KD)

No, I'm not.
" . . . Oden will be a valuable commodity to multiple championships . . . "
Does that not suggest that Oden will help the Blazers win multiple championships, or am I just crazy?
My God, man, you're playing slippery games with the English language. I'm not going to debate you any longer, however. It's 2:40 in the morning here on the East Coast, and I'm off to bed . . .he will be valuable to multiple championships. however, i never believe anything is guaranteed...i go by the motto "its not over till its over". if the blazers win championships, Oden will be a primary commodity.

For the record: I'm not anti-Oden.
I'm just pro-Durant.
