Baseball has been doing that for their preseason games and it's really irritatingAt least we don't really do the stupid thing that they do during the summer league where they think interviewing some schmuck is more important than the game.

I tweeted HCP right as that happened thinking how ironic this thread was and we had just missed a '3' the game before due to Hero shots/replays. He manned up and responded and you could almost tell he knew immediately that was coming.
Props to the work they do. For the most part I think they do very well. I agree with some of the angles being unnecessary and could do without so many Hero shots but if Mike and Mike called the game as well as the Production team showed it, we'd get a much more accurate accounting of what is going on. Instead we get Mike calling the game the way he 'hopes' it is going and then back tracking multiple times a game because unrealistic fandom got in the way. I like that he is a fan but at times, it gets irritating that the missed descriptions happen so often.
Yeah I'm sure their jobs are difficult and they mostly only get feedback when they fuck up. I do appreciate the hard work.
The constant replays have been something that irks me for years though. Just too many of them going on during live game action. It's every game we miss Ed Davis pressure in the backcourt or the start of a play somewhere. Yes it usually doesn't go to the level of missing an actual made basket. But there are tons of basketball action we miss. This isn't just one or two plays out of a rare game. It's an occurrence every game. As a viewer we're helpless to do anything about it. Would be really nice to be able to see the entire game when watching the game.
Agree with Mike and Mike. They have some really good insight when they actually talk about it but I feel they try to dumb down the broadcast way too much. The nonstop bitching about refs is so distracting and makes it hard to follow the game. Maybe they have studies that show that's what the Portland market wants to hear. If so that's more sad about the knowledge of Blazer fans. For me; I'd prefer commentary without the conspiracy theories.
I mean... I've watched other broadcasts and a lot of other commentators do the same thing. Houston and LAC are the WORST.
When Steve "Snapper" Jones did the broadcasts he was so grumpy. He was better doing network games but when he was with Portland you could tell he didn't like the team.
Yeah he was a bit too much negativity to be an every game home announcer. There needs to be a balance in the middle of the two extremes.
Yeah, I guess.Buncha first world problems up in this thread.
Yeah, I guess.
It's like going to a restaurant hungry for a good steak and all they have is Escargot and Caviar and shit like that. When you say you don't like it the chef says you don't understand classy food and it's award winning stuff you wouldn't know anything about.
Well, watching a basketball game is more like a steak dinner than a fancy snob 5 course meal. Just give us what we want.
The restaurant would close because people have other choices. Blazer funs are fucked, it is this or nothing. Maybe for shits and grins they should show a whole game only from the remote control blimp flying all over the arena.Nah, it's like going to a steakhouse and they don't have steak. They have some fancy shit that you never wanted in the first place.
Why does Blazer Broadcasting always charge so much for the Blazer gear they advertise on TV?!?
I understand bro. You didn't offend.Im sorry. Im not referring to your work whatsoever. The replay work is amazing and one of the reasons i want to keep on watching. I was hyperbolic and exagggrating as usual. I tweeted @ the guy nicely, I've pointed out things that bug us on the broadcast, and I've bitched at him while showing him national posts that agree with me on how ridiculous those angles are in live action. I'm sorry i offended you. Was not my intent.
Why does Blazer Broadcasting broadcast losses? I only want to see wins, dammit!
"Throws shade?"Speaking of that, I love when Rice inadvertently throws shade at the item and/or price during their read of the promo. Hilarious shit.
