Lord I would hope you know better than this. But...

Right, I forgot you don't use google. Type 'bribery' into goosegoosecoyote or whatever the right-wing equivalent of google is.

In the terms of impeachment, I sort of agree. In terms of in general right I dont see much “across” the isle type stuff going on. It seems like theirs a bit of, “you’re a traitor” mentality if a D agrees with an R or vice versa. We have forgotten that though the ideologies may vary, that in regards to politics we should be working on what we believe is best for our country, not what is best for our party.

Agreed

More specifically, what is best for our constituents whom we represent. You then lug that into Washington and broker what you can...in whatever way you can. Over time, it's become a swampy mess. Trump came to town wanting to drain that baby, but he's brought his own set of issues. What a mess. Now, who's guarding the guardians? Seriously.

Apparently trumps influence has worn thin as Louisiana votes in the democratic candidate and another trump endorsement goes down. First 2018 elections and now 2019 are going away from the trumpers. Not a good sign for your boy. :dunno:

Although I agree with your premise, unfortunately, it is hard for representatives to "broker" much of anything in today's political climate. Washington as well as much of the country are grotesquely divided.

And for those of you that can remember how scary the 60's were, I think you'll agree that it's worse today than it was back then.

I truly wish I had the solution, hell, I wish anyone did.

I have a very good excuse for not remembering the 1960’s. Heh.

Actually, me too. I recall an old saying about the 60's; "If you can remember the 60's, you were never there".

And on a related note, although I was barely old enough to be at Woodstock in the Summer of '69, and I know that there were supposedly 400,000 people there, I must admit that I was not one of the nearly 7 million people I've heard/met in my lifetime who claimed they were there.

I'm only half way through the 60's. :devilwink:

Your #1 boy is a-scared of your #2 boy. Not exactly a profile in courage.

Well, we all know the dems have some real forerunners. Can't wait to see who emerges from the cage.

This is a pretty cool Forerunner.

I remember hearing about an upcoming Woodstock. I thought about going but then I chose not to because of the expense. I now kick myself for not going.

Same here, I was living about 50 miles away from where I am now in Georgia...that's a pretty long drive, especially since at the time I didn't have any wheels.

I had the car but the expenditure would have broken me.
Did you know that I was born in Atlanta? I've got a ton of cousins in Georgia. My great niece is attending Emory where in her first year and a half her lowest grade has been an 'A'.

Cool, sure beats the hell out of the trump yacht. It's even named after him. Do you know what the name is?

Who cares. You're on your own all-inclusive party.

Right wing media are slandering Ambassador Yovanovich as fragile and neurotic. She served in war zones while they sat in cushy studios. She's answered questions calmly and with dignity, unlike Kavanaugh, who screamed, cried, and threatened.
