Anyone else here a HUGE James Bond freak? I'm highly anticipating this movie...saw a few spoilers here and a few there. Can't wait for 007 to go apeshit crazy with revenge.

:ghoti:

Can't wait for the new movie. My son and I will probably go see it at least a couple of times. Nothing like a Bond movie. I like the new Bond. Much better than Pierce Brosnan who never was as good a Bond as I wanted him to be. The last movie was the best Bond movie made since the last one with Roger Moore in it.

yeah, caught Casino Royale opening night last year. won't be in the states when QoS is released, but I'll watch it where I am some how....

The story starts him interviewing Mr. White...should be a rip-roarin' time.

From Russia with Love is on Spike right now.....meh, not really a fan of this one. But better than those god-awful Brosnan flicks.....

I'm more of an old school Bond fan.

I actually quite like many of the Moore flicks. Most of the older ones are better but IMO, Casino Royale is the best of the franchise. No stupid gimmicks, no formaeleic plots, etc.

The recent Casino Royale was the best Bond since Sean Connery.

I remember seeing a spread in Playboy about the 1967 Casino Royale when I was a kid sneaking peeks at Playboy. I didn't see the movie but the pictures made an impression.

Casino Royale changed my expectations for Bond films. I'm actually looking forward to Quantum of Solace.

I'm a huge Bond fan and have them all on DVD. IMO Bronson was the worse Bond. I do think Craig is great and Dalton was also good. I can't wait for Quantum of Solace but early reviews says it isn't as good as Casino Royal but still good.

Sorry, to be off topic but I was reading about Transporter on the other topic and have never seen any of them. It sounded good and now I'm going to rent them when I get a chance.

Sorry, I meant Brosnan not Bronson. Yeah, maybe when Bronson was younger he might have mad a good bond. He would have made Bond an ass kicking machine.

I love Charles Bronson, him and Clint Eastwood top the list of the best actors for me. (Eastwood also best producer IMO)

I read IMDB.com last night and the people that had seen the preview didn't think much of QoS. Of course, a bad Bond movie is like bad pizza...it's still pretty good. I'm sure I'll watch it and enjoy it thoroughly.

Should I be embarrassed I've never seen a 007 movie?

Do you watch a lot of movies? If you do and like action/spy movies I think your missing a lot of great movies. They are not all great but there are some gems and I would highly recommend to start with some early Sean Connery Bond Movies. From Russia with Love or Goldfinger both great movies IMO.

I'm with DPC a bit... Brosnan's first was my first, and it's always seemed a little comic to me. I liked Casino Royale...he seems much more bada$$ when Bond's Craig rather than Pierce.

I agree and almost all of Brosnan's Bond movies were my least favorite. Moore's Bond were better even though they were not that serious either. I would rate them in this order:

1. Sean Connery
2. Daniel Craig
3. Timothy Dalton
4. Roger Moore
5. George Lazenby Rated this low but the one movie he was in is one of my favorite Bond movies.
6. Pierce Brosnan

OT: I saw Les Miserables (the Liam Neeson/Geoffrey Rush version). I can't believe I made it this far through life w/o reading it, seeing the play, or watching the movie, but I really enjoyed it.

Odd, since I took a French Literature class in college, and count (no pun intended) the Count of Monte Cristo among my favorite books.

I actually really liked Roger Moore! And dpc, no you shouldn't feel bad about not seeing any Bond movies! What do you expect......... you live on a farm in North Dakota and sleep with your sister!
