Hmmm, so the Knicks are planning on trading Qrich, I'm not surprised he isn't wanted with that contract and the problems with his back. If nothing works out I think a cut may be in order, however if you put Malik Rose, Maurice Taylor, and Jerome James and play with them then you should be able to land a decent player, well that's Isiah for you

$6.9 mill isn't that much. it becomes $9.3 in '09-'10. that's shouldn't scare people away. team's don't want francis or marbury's. where's the rest of the article? was it actually 2 sentences long?

I could see why the Knicks want to trade Quentin Richardson. He didn't play well in 2006, and, like GArenas has said, Q-Rich has had back problems. But, he is becoming the best man-to-man defender on the roster. He is a great three-point shooter and a solid dunker. He can score when needed, just needs to be healthier, better conditioned, not lazy, and be more consistent. I do not want to see Quentin Richardson being traded, he's a good basketball player.

he had the worst year of his career. he isn't a great three point shooter either. he's good three point shooter. i know alot went on last year in his life but i would think that would've motivated him to work harder. the same thing happened to timmy thomas last year when i believe his father or someone he knew died. i don't want him here because he has a pretty serious back problem and phoenix knew what they were doing when they traded him.

He's a crap player getting twice as much and soon 3x as much as he probably deserves. I was very happy to see him go. I thought he'd do better with the Knicks because he would be able to use his post up game more but apparently he was even worse. I shudder to think how bad your defenders must be if Q was your best man-to-man defender. He's average at best.

I can't say he's a great mid-range shooter though. He had good defense in 06, near the end. He has potential to be a good defender. And yes, the Knicks team is terrible at defense, and yes, Q was shaping up to be one of the team's best man to man defenders.

All-Star game competitions don't prove much at all. I don't think anyone would hesitate to say Ray Allen and a lot of the guys he beat in that contest were better. And this stat is crazy...wow. He made 226 3's in 2005 becase he attempted EIGHT 3-pointers a game, with bad shot selection I may add, and he shot at under 36%. That was the second highest percentage in his career and it's not that good at all.

Well sounds like Knicks fans better get used to Qrich, he's not that bad, solid player off the bench and starter in some situations. Also, he won't be cut, he's not earning a minimum salary or bought out, you expect Knicks to eat that contract for free? If they can't find any takers, he'll be a Knick just like Kmart will be Nugget(which is why he still is).

I think that they should take a chance and try to deal Jerome James and Q for Kenyon Martin. They need a good Power Forward since Channing Frye is more of a center anyways, plus I am pretty sure the salaries work. If the talent came together the starting 5 would look like this:PG: Stephon MarburySG: Steve FrancisSF: Jalen RosePF: Kenyon MartinC: Eddy CurryWith Frye, Robinson, Crawford, and Lee coming off the bench this team is a sure playoff team if Isiah finds a way to bring them together.

Good. QRich is just a moron who jacks 3's. They should definately ship him off. He is one of the reasons that their chemistry was terrible last year.

Kenyon Martin could have done that for the Nuggets. In 2005, the Nuggets could have won their division, if Martin played better. He was playing with Carmelo Anthony, and they could have had a great season together.

Larry Brown is no Phil Jackson. People used to assume Phil needed a set team to be a good coach but he proved those people wrong. Larry Brown needs a set or group of players that work under his system for him to be successful.Anyways, I like the new talent the Knicks have. I hope the Knicks trade either Marbury or Francis. Preferrably Francis. Marbury will become Starbury, hopefully, once more. Especially under Thomas, I can't wait to see Marbury play. I would love to see Marbury as a shooting guard. He's a good shooter. The only question mark I would have though is the height disadvantage. Marbury is 6'2, and I don't know many SGs smaller than 6'4. But I'm sure Marbury would find ways to score. Also, the reason I would like for Marbury to become a shooting guard, is because I want to see Nate Robinson start at point guard. I would like the lineup to be:Point Guard: Nate RobinsonShooting Guard: Stephon MarburySmall Forward: Jared JeffriesPower Forward: Channing FryeCenter: Eddy CurryDavid Lee, Jerome James, Mardy Collins, and whomever the Knicks receive for Quentin Richardson, Steve Francis, Jalen Rose, Malik Rose and Maurice Taylor (if they are traded), will be solid off the bench.I can't wait for more changes, and I cant wait for the 2006-07 season to start. :dribble:

I'm pretty sure the Wizards plan to match the offer sheet for Jeffries. I don't think any Knick other than Nate, Frye, or Lee would draw any interest besides their expiring contracts. Most non-retarded teams realize money is supposed to go to players who are actually good
