Nice of Jason to give us the scoop two hours after the deadline passes...

That's how long it will take him to scour the message board forums to find out the "news".

Hopefully Quick isn't a downer last like time, but I assume he will be.

Yeah uuuhhhh Sean... the Blazers uuuuhhhhh..... how can I say this.... uhhhhhh the Blazers didn't didn't make...uuuuuuuhhhhh trade.

Look forward to seeing Quick bring up Danny Granger's name again and how close we were to getting him.

I could not conceivably care less. Quick has been useless for the last week or so, and he has yet to present me with any information I don't get from here or other boards/blogs/etc.

We have the baddest trade chip on the block, one of the more creative GM teams in the League, and lots of young talent...and he can't even give Canzano-esque updates through the day?

Yeah. No thanks.

KP was scared to make a move.

KP was asking WAY too much for all star type players.

Bayless will never play again as a Blazer because Nate prefers two guards who can't penetrate or create fouls.

They love Travis' D.

Webster will be the next Glen Rice.

That is what Quick will say

Yes but Bayless is untouchable. It is important we sit him on the bench, so nobody knows how good he is. It is also important during that time, we keep him from other teams. It makes complete sense doesn't it? You have to keep those guards in the game who pass up layins so they can throw it out to the 3 point line for a bad percentage shot, the long rebound that leads to opponent transition buckets, making the game a lot harder than it should be. I mean, we can't make this...easy.:drumroll:

You can always tell what a Quick Chat is going to be like by the length and depth of his sigh after he's introduced by the moderator.

Anybody care to update what Quick is saying... or not saying? I can't get it.

You'll have to wait til' Sunday according to him if you want the big news on stuff...."We have to sell papers"

Quick mentioned there was a deal that would've netted us Hinrich and Deng, and KP turned it down? Anyone else hear this and know who we would've given up?

Quick is the least informed beat writer in the country. Has he ever broken a story? Marc Iavaroni anyone?

...Oden's knee is not sounding good, how is Nazr sounding now??? Effin eff eff eff!!!

Probably Aldridge and Raef and a 1st or Bayless/Batum and Rudy and Raef and a 1st for those 2, i'd think. I think KP didn't want to trade any of the Super-Six (lol) ... (A mix of our big 3 and young 3)in Oden, Roy, Aldridge, Bayless, Batum and Rudy... He also probably didn't want to trade Joel at all. Outside of those 7 the rumored deals usually included Raef, Outlaw and Sergio... He would obviously not mind trading Frye as well. Blake is interesting, and I have no idea what he wanted/wants to do with Webs.

Quick's worried about Oden's knee. Martell still in the boot. Dude's not going to contribute this year probably.

I refuse to believe that Oden's injury is serious given that he continued to play in the GSW game.

I think it's all Bill Bayno's fault. He was working Oden in the summer of '07 - Oden is out for the year. He comes back to the team after Oden played half a season - and he goes down in a heap. He must be a Lakers spy.

Goes down in a heap? Well, he un-heaped himself to come back in and get some rebounds and a couple of dunks and finished the game on the court.

I guess we'll see, but his play after the injury suggests to me that the Blazers are just being cautious.

I thought the sarcasm was obvious... I was channeling my inner-MIXUM and going on an un-related, absurd rant concluding in a short-term fix that is not a real fix at all. I thought that was obvious ;)

Does anyone truly care what Quick has to say anymore? I put him right up there with that annoying know-it-all brother-in-law that apparently is the expert on all things important.

As annoying as he's become, and the obvious contempt he seems to display now towards his job and to the people who want info on the team they follow from the guy who's supposed to be delivering it to them...

he is still pretty connected.

The dude just sounds exasperated by any question he's asked regarding the Blazers though. It's very strange.

I thought your sarcasm was aimed at poor Bill Bayno, not at the severity of Oden's injury.

No problems.

I have nothing against Bill Bayno and I am certain that his presence is a good thing for this team - I should have made a better job of conveying it.
