I really dont like dealing him unless were also moving Plumlee for a good player. Blakes gotta be pissed at the Blazers now lol

Iv got nothing against Plumlee, he isnt that bad but he isnt a starter material and I liked having a cheap defensive SF at least for a bit.Plumlee is a very solid player
Id give portland the finger at this point. He loves the city but the Blazers don't love him.I was really hopoin he wouldn't get moved again by this team. Hopefully, NJ will waive him and give Portland a chance to pick him up.
If he will give us another chance.
He started when Brolo was hurt this past year and was an adequate playerIv got nothing against Plumlee, he isnt that bad but he isnt a starter material and I liked having a cheap defensive SF at least for a bit.

He got benched and his minutes vanished quickly after Lopez came back. Could have been a flash in a pan type production. We will find out next year, we got great value for him I just hate the thought of overpaying someone to play SF in FA.He put up all star numbers last season when he started for Brooklyn
Could have been? 12/8 as a starter and 2 years in a row with a 18 PER is better than decent, I thinkHe got benched and his minutes vanished quickly after Lopez came back. PER is always inflated for solid bigs off the bench. I just dont think Plumlee is a good starting C, he played nice for Brooklyn but I view him more as a Brandon Wright player, great off the bench can fill in as a starter for a little bit but you dont want him as your starting center.Could have been? 12/8 as a starter and 2 years in a row with a 18 PER is better than decent, I think

Nope never had a problem with Aminu's contract. I didnt want to pay someone like Tobias Harris 80m and figured we would be left with little options but overpaying a SF or getting a journeyman one for cheap.Just curious now, since this thread came up....
It's VERY early, I get that.... BUT.... As of now, do you feel we overpaid for Aminu?

He did. Plumlee is a lot better then I thought. His passing and ball handling have been pretty great for a big man. Aminu is also plating great, not sure he can keep it up from 3, although he is getting open looks. I expect the hustle stats to stay with him all year though.
Very cool. Just asking. I think Olshey made a nice move.
No, actually he's looking like a bargain, and I'm liking both Aminu and Harkless better at SF than RHJ. They are much better offensively.Just curious now, since this thread came up....

Nice first post. Welcome!Anytime you can get a starting center for the 23rd pick in the draft, it's tough to pass down. Of all the moves Olshey made this offseason, dealing RHJ hurt the most. I still think he's going to be a stud, but at least Plumee is young and continues to grow with this young Blazers squad.

Defensively? Absolutely. Is he really going to be that much better than Aminu or Harkless? Aminu is 25 and Harkless is 22.
Defensively? Absolutely.
Love what Aminu is bringing so far but what we see right now, this might be his peak (which is just fine, love Al). Harkless on the other hand, could be a game-changer. Going by playing time, this is really his Sophomore season, so it'll be interesting to see how he improves over the course of this season.
Exactly. I would expect RHJ would max out about where the Chief's currently is defensively.Aminu is an exceptional defender. I don't know if it's going to be so cut and dry.
I would make that trade again any day of the week. We brought in a unique starting 5, and brought in two wings who are on par with rhj defensively, but way better at offense. We don't need rhj. Great trade.
Exactly. However, Aminu and Harkless are ahead of rhj in development. Same role, but farther along on the learning curve. I am not disappointed by our sf defense at all!Yeah, totally a solid move. I like Plumlee, and I think Aminu and Harkless fill the same role/need that RHJ would have.
