Only s person who hates america would do that.

Interesting trump is mute on this.

I don't get the anger here for Paul and Lee. They want offset cuts! Seems logical.

I have a different question, aren't these 1st Responders employees of the City of New York?

You whine, bitch and moan about healthcare owed to you for your service and yet act like an un-American weasel offering your support for these jackass politicians instead of standing up for others who have also served their country. Served and suffered.

Put a civil tongue in your post!
First of all a cut some where is the correct thing to do for another expenditure some where else when attempting to control US spending.

Secondly I did serve my Country, the USA. These guys work for the City of New York, I do believe. The services providers for the largest business in this country head quartered in NYC. If they can't cover their bills then they need more money from their clients I should think. Having the US tax payer back them up on shortfalls is bullshit.
That is Capitalism for risk, but not for profits. Total bullshit.

Meanwhile, Dems have an endless supply of money for illegal aliens defense funds, housing, food, school, transportation...

It's called an opinion and as such no link is required.

No, it's only an amount that allows the government to treat them significantly more humanely than Trump is willing to do. You know, such as not allowing them to rot with no showers or change of clothes or even a toothbrush for up to 30 days in facilities designed to hold them for a max. of 72 hours where they were usually only held for 24 hours. More comfortable facilities were provided for long term confinement.

Edit:
The endless supply is for private companies that provide about $50 worth of goods and service to immigrant children at a rate of about $750 per child. Those companies must be delighted.

The thread title is clearly presented as fact. I don’t deny it’s legitimate, but some inkling of source or citation would be helpful. I wouldn't expect someone to provide sources in regular comments but when you take the time to start an entire thread you might as well share wherever you’re getting your info from.

LMAO. Everyone can have their own thoughts politically, I don’t care which way people lean...but man oh man the one thing I love about Trump/Politics these days is that you find out what kind of person people really are in conversations.

Pathetic. Osama bin Laden wasn’t just attacking “New York”. He was attacking the United States.

It wasn't just New York that was attacked. It was America. Those responders risked their lives trying to evacuate those buildings....digging in the rubble for survivors afterwards. They are Americans above all. That fund is the least we can do for them. I thought a United States Veteran would understand this. I guess you are just jealous that you didn't get such a nice check when you came back from service.

I received an email from a former S2 member that read this thread. I share it here as well as my response to the person.

"I saw that exchange this morning before it got edited. The un American weasel part got left in. That tells me all I need to know about them. @SlyPokerDog will use some grey area excuse for leaving it.

Keep up the good fight. Not sure it's worth it."

My response;

This thread is most bizarre to me, not one liberal gets the point. They universally want to see the correct liberal emotional response. Not one can see the financial responsibility should fall on the direct recipients of the services rendered by the 1st Responders; Just like they pay their everyday cost through the City of New York, they also owe the exceptional costs that could and did happen.
The list is long of those directly served;
Morgan Stanley
Bank of America
Bank of Yokohama
Bank of Taiwan
Bank of Korea
Siemens Corp.
New York Stock Exchange... thousands more.

Indirectly it should include every resident and Corporation located in New York City.
I fail to see the validity of putting the tab for this on Children yet born anywhere, and even less on those west of the Hudson River, west of the Mississippi is ridiculous.
Yes, a Military response is on all of us to stand and respond to the attack, but not to relieve the beneficiaries of services rendered from their rightful financial burden.

Yeah, I doubt it is worth it, I doubt even one can learn.

Does it matter?
Shouldn't it be whatever it takes to either make their final days more comfortable or restore their health?

Yes.

To just blindly ignore a specific dollar figure is ludicrous. Everything should have a measure on how much is to be spent.

"Here's a blank check". Honestly, with all the pilfering in the government, I'm not surprised if this money is used for other purposes or if anything else is attached to this.

You can tell the person that I didn't see that post but now that I did it was an personal insult and has been deleted.

Thanks for tagging me. It would have been a lot easier to just flag the post.

What blank check? All money appropriated is to be spent as specified. That's why we have inspector generals.
What is not needed is a check for $750 per day per child given blindly to a private business that's clearly not doing the job. Where's your outrage over this?

jealous? No, don't think so. I find it odd you have such a warped view though. I receive about $200 a month for my injuries received in action. They decided to do this
about 12 years ago, nearly 50 years later.

Never thought much more about it Sly. I thought the post was the work of an asshole, and said it straight.

I say we spend zero on that. That's my position
