From what I've learned in my shit history classes, didn't Lincoln draft and sign the Emancipation Proclamation for political gain? I'm not sure, because this was two years ago for me, and our teacher blew.

My History teacher in high school cleared this up for me. The Emancipation Proclamation didn't abolish slavery, and and didn't even free slaves in the Union. It simply freed slaves in the Confederate States (for reasons relating to the Civil War, to make a move against them).

However, his mission in the end was to abolish slavery.

Lincoln was a better politician than an emancipator, IMO. Not sure what your teacher would like, though.

As long as I support my argument with good evidence then it doesn't matter which way position I take.

Waiting until 11:00 PM to begin writing a theology paper: Priceless. Let's see how long this takes.

Fresh Prince!

Who's the anonymous user?

I gotta lose some weight. And yet, I love Sunchips sooo much. Life's too difficult.

I hate writing papers.... I'm getting 2 Bachelors degrees at my college in accounting and marketing. The accounting classes are the hardest classes I have ever taken in my life, and the Marketing classes are such a joke I can fall asleep in class and still know everything.

**** I hate school.

Psht.

I could understand Taylor Swift. Even Kellie Pickler.

But if you don't think Carrie Underwood is hot, then you must be gay. There's no other way to explain it.

I'd assume that it'd be direct from the game's producer, but I wouldn't just take my word for it as this is just an assumption. Try using google, or maybe e-mail gamestop if you're feeling lazy and lucky.

Does anyone know how to go about getting reference letters? I'm going to need a few for some programs I'm applying to in a year or so, and really don't know anything about them.

Presumably you're asking letters from someone you're close to, so it should be easy to ask them without it seeming like a burden. Make sure you give them plenty of time to write one, let them know what the letter is for, perhaps mention why you came to them, and say that if they need any other information to let you know.

You are going to want to ask professors that respect your work and that have either had you in more than one class or have worked with you in a campus group.
