I visited RU today. Still torn between Michigan and my home state school. Don't know if I want to leave home, and I'm still semi-undecided on what I want to major on, which is to the advantage of RU; they have quite a bit more options for me to explore if I decide I want to switch majors.

Originally, I was dead set on Computer Engineering/Computer Science. But now I'm having real doubts as to whether that's truly what I want to do. I've been trying to learn more about Marketing and Management the last few weeks, and maybe Communications, but that's so damn broad. I really have no idea as of this moment.
 
Smart choice to think hard about Computer Science. It's going to require a lot of studying and learning, since it changes all the time.
My mom does programming, and is very frustrated with it, but that's mostly because of her bosses.

I'd say go with Michigan, since the Midwest tends to be better than the coasts : D

I'm going to Missouri myself...even thought Texas gave me $81,000 in gift aid....hard to pass it up, but I'll definitely like Mizzou better than UT. My home state school decided to give me a whopping $0 of aid! So both Texas/Missouri are cheaper.

I've actually never been caught by that, since no one tinyurls it but me, and I saw it happen to a few people first.

The only bitch about Computer Science is Calculus. If you've got that down, everything else will be fine. The programming classes are pretty cool, especially in languages like Java.
