<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">because good artists who make good music deserve to be supported for their work...especially when
A. Good music is hard to come by these days
B. If you actually buy the album, then that helps artists get more radio play, promotion, hype, etc. for their next album by showing that they have a fan base
C. They really have a love for their art and deserve my money if I feel like it.</div>
As big a Common fan as I am, 'Finding Forever' isnt worth the $$$
It's only like 12 songs long, and I only added about 5 or 6 of them to my playlist.
The only reason I dont buy albums, is because I dont listen to CD's. Everything I download or buy goes straight onto my PC, so I'm essentially left with a $30 coaster. It's just a waste of money. I do feel kind of bad, but I mean its just not worth it. Plus I mean most of these guys are rolling in money off endorsements and other crap anyway, and for what? Making music? It's not like they're out there saving lives or anything like that. The way I see it, if an artist loves making music as much as they claim, they wouldnt care how their music is acquired, so long as its out there, and people are listening to it, hearing their "message".
I buy DVD's and video games though, as I use my DVD player / PS3 alot, and I just prefer to have the proper copy than burnt ones.
