Re: Random Thought Thread
the city of Houston sucks, they just had a give away on a local radio station on the '94 rockets championship team....OUR FIRST TITLE TEAM IN CITY HISTORY...and nobody knew the answer (one guy got close)

I can name everyone from that team

Eric Riley (actually thought he'd turn out to be a good player, but it never happened)

Richard Pertruska (I'm sure I'm not spelling his last name right, but it doesn't really matter cause he did nothing)

Scott Brooks (always loved scotty, now he's coaching in Denver)

Matt Bullard (great shooter, but never got a lot of minutes, because that's all that he could do)

Carl Herrera (amiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigo.................imo our 2nd title run would've been a lot easier had we had amigo....people forget how vital he was in game 6 against the knicks)

Mario Elie (wasn't as important in the 1st title run like he was in the 2nd title run, but still brought tough defense and could hit the open shot)

Earl Cureton (not that important, but he's still one of those guys you remember)

Sam Cassell (EXTREMELY important in first title run....huge Game 7 against Phoenix and huge game 3 against Knicks)

Chris Jent (a poor mans matt bullard...if that's possible.....I think he's still coaching in Orlando)

Kenny "The Jet" Smith (he lost all his jet fuel at that time in his career, but he could still handle the ball and hit the open shot...couldn't play great d though)

Vernon "Mad Max" Maxwell - hakeems scottie pippen during the 1st title run...streaky shooter, but was DANGEROUS when he got hot....always brought a tough hard nosed attitude (that ended up being his downfall) and tough tenacious defense

Robert Horry - I think we all know......didn't really hit any clutch shots in this title run, but still brought pretty good D and he could hit the open shot

"O.T." Otis Thorpe - the thing I'll always remember about O.T. is his ability to literally make the basketball look like a ping pong ball in his hand....brought pretty good defense, rebounding and some offense down low to help out Hakeem.

Hakeem Olajuwon - no need for explanation.

I might be leaving off someone, but I got pretty close
