1st penalty on tampa was ridiculous, the stamkos hit on hayes, leave your feet is ok? dom moore stoopit , but alll he did was shove, that was embellished... great action
 
Lightning are getting away with a lot of interference in the ozone. Nash got tripped away from the puck, they're hitting guys without the puck. I'm sure I only see them doing it cuz I'm a Rangers fan and if i were a TB fan I'd see other stuff, but man. They'd have at least 4 penalties in the regular season already.
 
thought he was a health scratch, lol...he's done nothing the first period
 
The puck bounced over Glass' stick on that rebound...St Louis with a greaat deflection that just missed...the score could be 4-3....if not 4-4.

If he comes back this series, 100% Sheppard is scratched. He hasn't been bad either, can think of someone else that should be scratched instead coughMSLcough, but he hasn't done enough.
 
I actually didn't like the first from a defensive perspective. They need to be better they gave up a lot of chances
 
First period in the books and you never knew Rick Nash was on the ice.
 
Sheppard just got interfered with there. These refs are fucking blind. They are legit letting TB hit guys not involved in the play, totally interfering with them and not calling a goddamn thing. It's fucking ridiculous. That last break just happened because Sheppard got cross checked by the circles, NOT EVEN NEAR THE PUCK and TB broke out right where he got hit from. Fucking inexcusable at this point that the refs aren't calling these interferences. I don't care if they call it on the Rangers too, but fucking do your god damn jobs and call the penalties, especially when they keep leading to TB breakouts. --Rant over--
 
Enjoyable first period. A bit chippy, good tempo, back and forth.. The way hockey should be.
 
Great playoff hockey. A little too much back and forth for my liking though...They are just as fast as the Rangers and it's going to be tiring trying to keep up with them. Rebound control has to be a focus for the rest of the game. Leaving too many in front of the net. The Lightning will start planting guys 8 feet out to take advantage.

Still annoyed at what Hank did on that Tampa goal. Weakly swiping it right onto the stick of Stamkos is just ridiculous.

If you watch, McD also stopped skating instead of staying with Stamkos. Just a bad play all around there. Boyle, Hank and McD all had bad plays that directly led to that goal.
 
Mcd needs to pick up. He has been bad in this game. Too many gift goals given up the last two games. Hank needs to freeze the puck. He is terrible at handling the puck, it's mind boggling.
 
They may have another breakaway chance or two again in this type of game
