We NEED to be better on PP faceoffs. We suck enough without having to go the entire length of the ice and enter the zone. It's laughable. Wish we'd just reolace the damn PP coach already. We just literally dumped the puck in and NO ONE went in after it. Who the frig comes up with this game plan? Mr Magoo? Jesus Christ.
 
Hate to say it but absolutely great goal by crosby started by hayes inability to clear the zone
 
Two shitty bounces and a horrible penalty that lead to first lucky bounce goal
 
Oh well. Onto game 3. AV better rip into them in between periods and tomorrow. And for the love of God, remove the PP coach because it's a liability and we would be better off taking a penalty immediately after and playing four on four.

I kind of expected the Pens to come back in game 2, but I never expected the Rangers to totally give it away. 5 powerplays, and they are still being out shot. That's disgraceful. They better pick it up in the final 20 ...

With this effort and awful PP. Yea. Unless AV can light a fire under their ass between periods and someone else takes over the PP it ridiculous. PP still has the same problem the last few months. Slow, telegraphed passes; stick handling instead of shooting; not taking one timers when the chance is there; dumping it in and having no one go in after it.
 
Disappointing 2nd period. Need to get their shit together in the 3rd. Going back to PIT 1-1, no bueno

Yeah like this team has never come back from 2 goals...
 
Some one wake me when our team speed shows up. Along with some decent passing. I'm not sure if they really understand the playoffs have started.
 
I'm more pissed at the lack of shots vs a poor defensive team then the score. The passing has been horrible but they can still win this game

Ok Al. Whatever you say. And you can watch reruns of the 94 Cup. I'll watch this game and see how pisspoor we're playing, seeing the Pens outplay and out hustle us and see no inspiration that makes me think it's gonna change. Unless we can get this PP going, as I've said even during the season but was blown off because "Boston won a Cup with a bad PP", we're gonna struggle. We're built on skill, not size. PP should be a strong point for us, but for some reason we try to be too cute on it.
 
They'll still be fine just won't be a short series we could have used if they don't figure a way to come back in the third. St. louis and boyle skating like their getting ready for retirement. Nash needs to go to the goddam net and av needs to double shift stepan and kreider out there with miller

What bothers me with this team is the failure to pick up the open man in front of the goal. Step just skates past Sutter, Crosby just skates past McDonagh (how can you lose sight of Crosby when he's on the ice?), for the easiest goal he will ever score. The Pens are leaving it all on the ice, the Rangers, not so much.

5 periods and we are writing people off.

PP has killed us tonight and given them a ton of mo. They deserve the lead. And IF they win this game we need to move onto game 3. We all knew this was a do or die game for the Pens, and they have played like it. And we have played like mostly all of the other teams who were up 1-0. This would be 6 of 7 series tied 1-1 if the Pens hold on. No coincidence.
 
The team still does not have a killer instinct. Even if this game goes into overtime I can see them

Who cares about Boyle next year.

They need to start shooting the puck from the point look for rebounds quit the fancy garbage passing and crash the net.

Rangers have played 1 good period offensively this series if they come out and do it in 3rd they can go up 2-0
