Rap Battle Warm-up: J_Ray vs Iggy

The X-Mas break is coming and we both wanted to get some work in before the tourney, so here we go. It'll last 3 verses each, each verse must be at least 8 lines. I'll go first......



I'm J_Ray, and I do things my way
Beg if you may, but you do what I say
When I'm done with you, people will remember this more than Kobe's 81
But I appreciate you for trying against me, your facing The One
Your facing a MVP, so you better give me some respect
This isn't the NIT, so you should know what to expect
When I'm through with you, you'll be a bigger mess than the BCS
At least you can say your a witness of my success
Whenever I open my mouth, I make girls drop in aw

cause really; you cant drop sh!t its like you have lyrical constipation // and you're spittin aint fluid its like you suffer from menstrual flow complication
you're lucky to hear me rap, normally you'd need a subscription // but jay, you couldnt spit sick with multiples (multi pills) if you overdosed on a perscription

you can't give me 'fine', cause my flow is already fine // but shiz, it took you more than an hour to write 8 sh!tty lines
this battle's mine without a doubt, so you best go and change your route // i aint showing no pity for a noob, so i'm goin all out
if my talent were a drink, then you'd be high on full throttle // if YOUR talent were a drink, it'd be an empty bottle
your promoting yourself? calling yourself good is basic'lly spam // ill call you peter pan cause your punchlines never-land
i came about 5 minutes after you're reply, and read the same crap as before // and i submitted 10 lines better, less than 10 minutes after yours

Your flow is no where near fine, but my is divine
People love my flow so much, they've made me a shrine
I'm a idol around here, like Kobe in the LA
I'll leap frog all my competition like your boy Andre
You call yourself Iggy, but your more like Kinsey
I'm coming up clutch like my name is Reggie (Miller)
I rap with more emotion than Adam Morrison
That's just another reason why I'm "The One"

jray your shiz is getting dumb, because i've left you lyrically numb // the only thing your flow resembles is a sewage system
sure, it still flows slowly, but it sure as hell dont make a splash // cause theres nothing much thats flowing, if all you spit is trash
i've told you you're not "the one", zero is all you'll ever be // i could have spit half a verse and still be good enough to beat your three
so you best stop freestyling, cause you're making everybody gag // screw warm-up, you were more like a verbal punching bag

I vote Iggy, because he had some great comebacks and he always had something to say, sometimes it seemed like J_Ray was looking for something to just rhyme with it, not really in the flow.

Iggy had some good lines but basically kept just basically insulting J-Ray with the same themes - takes too long to come back, you're just a noob, etc. J-Ray had more creativity and some of his lines made me laugh out loud. He brought other images into his raps and was more visual.

I'm a hero out here, that's why they made me a shrine

that's funny for some reason.

Gotta vote for Iggy. He was consistent and he had a couple lines that were just sick. I felt like J-Ray was just looking for words that rhyme while Iggy's blows hit harder and were much more personal. Good battle by both of you guys though.

I vote for Iggy.

More complex rhymes that were relevant to the situation. That's, along with consistent flow, are what I look for and Iggy was ahead of J_Ray in that aspect. His last verse also showed some ridiculously clever and hard-hitting punchlines.

Iggy. J-Ray seemed kind of "lazy" with his lines while Iggy just kept it consistent.

I vote Iggy because he stayed consistent through out.

J-Ray's analogies really didn't make sense. Plus adding that hyperlink to the word CATCH was weak. The whole point is to describe what you're talking about in a rap.
