Avatar (in 3D)- 7.5/10. Didn't think it was all that. 3D is cool but 45 minutes in you don't even notice it anymore and TBH I wasn't even all that impressed by it besides the initial adjustment period where it was all new to me. Story isn't that great. Lots of corny ass dialog but not in a good way. Shitty acting. Seems like a story I've seen/read/heard many times over but obviously a little more in depth. Keeps your interest throughout though, nice action, has a little bit of everything, looks cool but doesn't do anything really well (besides look unique).

Choke- 8/10. Pretty interesting indy/low budget type flick about a sex addict. Its funny, interesting, characters are endearing, nice story. I recommend it.

District 9- 8.5/10. Really liked it. See it people!

Anybody see Hurt Locker?

Hurt Locker got some pretty damn good reviews, you not give it a chance?

Boondock Saints 2- 8/10. Not as good as the first (understandably so without Willem Dafoe and Rocco) but quite solid in its own right.

Sherlock Holmes - 8/10

Loved RDJ and Law. And I'd like to fuck McAdams

Ever since watching Zombieland, I've had multiple cravings for a Twinkie. The entire movie was a Twinkie add.

Up in the Air - 8/10

Clooney was awesome, but the tone of the movie overall was dissapointing, I GO TO THE MOVIES TO GET AWAY FROM REAL LIFE! :(

Nine Miles Down -- 6/10 -- takes an interesting premise and setting but has trouble when it switches from subtle to over the top. Would've been better had the setting/climate stayed as it was at the beginning. The chick in it is mad hot.

Saw the trailer for Clash of the Titans and it looks like one big whopping pile of shit. However, I guarantee it ends up being Moo's favorite movie sometime this year!

For the last few movies I saw:

2012 - 6.5/10: Lots of destruction, good for what you can expect from that type of movie.

Across the Universe: 10/10- It's hard not to like this movie. If you like things like The Beatles and love, you will probably like this movie. There are some great trippy scenes in the movie, and the soundtrack of course is awesome, because it's the Beatles. Would recommend taking the movie on psychedelics too. Didn't do it, but the movie has the obvious potential to be great on them.

Super High Me: 8/10 - Marijuana spoof of Super Size Me where a comedian goes 30 days without smoking weed, and then smokes weed for 30 days. Very funny movie, and also provides a good look at how the medical marijuana works in Cali (which I had no real idea before the movie) and on some of the effects of marijuana. (Just a quick note, they found no longterm effects, and the only real negative effect they found was short term memory loss while on the drug).

Paper Heart: 6/10 - Had potential to be great. A fictionalized documentary of a girl trying to figure out her relation to love. But the lead actress in the movie, Charlene, is kind of annoying, but Michael Cera is gold.

Bad Acid: -10/10 - Worst movie ever made.

Moon -- 10/10 -- remarkable, one of the best science fiction films ever.

I've heard awesome things about Moon, but sci-fi isn't my thing :[

I'll be picking it up Tuesday.

The girls forced me to watch Ghosts of Girlfriends Past... I didn't like it. xD

I actually do think it looks really good. Though the movie that I think will end up being my favorite movie of the year should have come out last year, and that's Shutter Island. I've been waiting for that movie since seeing previews the first time for it last spring.

Daybreakers - 7/10

A pretty good movie and nice twist on vampire movies.

I've heard decent things about Daybreakers, I want to see it.

I can't wait for Shutter Island, I love Scorsese! As for Dicaprio, I like him but I don't love him. He's a hell of an actor, but something about him just bugs me.

Big Fan -- 7/10 -- some terrifically tense scenes cut up by Patton Oswalt's patented pathetic humour to make a nice little film.

District 9 - 8/10

Way better than I thought it would be. Way better. I'm not a big sci-fi fan, so I rented it from redbox before I thought about buying it and damn it was impressive. I'll definitely be picking it up on blu.

Avatar-- 9/10 -- really magnificent to watch but follows a worn and predictable storyline.

The Hurt Locker - 9.5/10

Wow. At first I thought I just wasted my money, but the last hour or so was just phenomenal.

Once Were Warriors -- 6/10 -- strong performances overpowered by an excessively dreary script... piles on the misery in a predictable fashion.

Hangover

10/10

Great movie. I related to it on so many levels.
