The 2 party system as it is currently structured is simply too dysfunctional...they can't even agree on the color of shit.

Republican Georgia Congressman Doug Collins reacted to the news of the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by bringing up Ginsberg's pro-choice record.

Collins, who was part of President Donald Trump's support team during Trump's impeachment trial in January, has been outspoken about his pro-life views. With Ginsburg's passing, the U.S. Supreme Court has a vacant seat which could be filled by one of Trump's nominees. Conservatives currently hold a majority in the Supreme Court. Collin's tweet expressed a hope that the next Supreme Court Justice would be against abortion.

"RIP to the more than 30 million innocent babies that have been murdered during the decades that Ruth Bader Ginsburg defended pro-abortion laws," Collins tweeted. "With @realDonaldTrump nominating a replacement that values human life, generations of unborn children have a chance to live."

Trump has case before Supreme Court to completely overturn Affordable Care Act but asked them not to hear it until after election. I guess "I took away your health care in the middle of a pandemic" is not a great re-election slogan. If he gets a hand picked justice then everyone who got Corona virus can be legally denied insurance or charged such exorbitant rates it amounts to the same thing. No treatment for Corona virus complications or anything else, lifelong. Even if you voted for him.

And no, there is no replacement plan in two weeks.

And if Trump gets his nominee through all of those decisions will be thrown out one by one. Women, the LGBTQ community, African Americans, immigrants are all screwed.
 
Lindsey Graham explained that he reversed his position on confirming a justice this year because Democrats were so mean to poor Bret Kavanaugh. Republican party is truly party of Trump, given positions for which they are not qualified and money they never earned while crying constantly about what victims they are.

Obviously think they will lose in November no matter how much cheating, voter supppression and help from Putin, otherwise why the rush?

The most pro gay president ever pledged to appoint judges who would oppose legal rights for the LGBTQ community. Many of his confirmed judges oppose our very existence and have said so publicly. Senate Republicans are fine with that.

You have the support of the vast majority of Americans. Laws can be changed so that judges can have nothing to do with them.

Big donors want this seat, not because of abortion or marriage equality, but to get rid of Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Affordable Care Act, Freedom of Information, allow unlimited corporate money to politicians, no more OSHA.

Trump has said repeatedly he plans to contest election and it will go to Supreme Court so he wants to be sure justices keep him in power. Quid pro quo.

I Biden wins by such a margin the courts have no place to decide against the outcome.

I know Trump will say mail in ballots are unconstitutional and bring it to the SC

People need to vote in person despite the virus.
