Someone once told me, "You need to get a wife!"

Well, sadly, I'm back to square-one...again. *sigh*

Count your blessings.

Date a little, have some fun.... Variety is the spice of life.

Bad weekend?

We're "friends".....currently on different paths. Not to say we won't give it a go again.....someday. She lives in Oly...works 70 hours a week, and is pursuing 2 masters degrees. The math is pretty simple. We both gave it as much as we could. Wrong timing, I suppose.

Guys weekend to the Pendleton Round Up?

The only things that come from Pendleton are steers and.............

Er, wait! BLAZER PROPHET is from Pendleton!! :MARIS61:

Clever.

OK, so she dumped your gold digging fanny. Suck it up and be a man.

bummer, ABM.

Maybe you can ask brainiac where he gets his dates.

No worries. Getting dates has never really been an issue with me. In fact, I'm looking forward to some solitude...at least for the next few days.

Sorry to hear that dude.

A word of advice: next time around, the words "salt water cleanse" should not be used until at least the 4th date. :devilwink:

She found out about this website didn't she?

Sorry to hear this..going into an off season and all...

Thanks, man.

A few months following the split with my ex (back in 2011), I went on a dating frenzy. After a few months of that, things ended up becoming super monotonous.....and expensive!

Then, I connected with a gal from Seattle. We dated for about 8 months. Eventually, it all became more struggle (long distance) than it was really worth. (although, we still stay connected via text, etc.)

Following that, I dated off and on for a couple months before meeting "the one" in Olympia (why I decided to date out of town again, I have no idea.) We met last June....had a pretty torrid romance and, quite frankly, probably still would be if she weren't working nearly 70 hours per week, while also pursuing 2 masters degrees. There was simply no room for a "reasonable" relationship.

That all said, perhaps we'll get back together following her graduation next year. You know how that goes, though..........

Now, I'm gonna spend some time doing "me" things. Should be fun!

time to brush off the ol' leisure suit

I had some good advice from a therapist once about dating. (Yes I've seen a therapist) Before you fall in love with someone, make a list of things that are logical "deal breakers." Working 70 hours a week, should probably be on that list for you. And living more than 30 minutes drive as well if you ask me. I would make a list now and then after your mind has adjusted to single life, make a list again and compare the two.

She just didn't have the heart to tell you she's decided to take her place in the Mrs. HCP service line...

It's all upside for single men over 30. Guys will date pretty much anyone around their age, a little older, and a lot younger. Meanwhile, many women tend to only date men their age or older. And of course at the upper end men die earlier.

Pure demographics keep widening the pool for you and shrinking the pool for them. So start chumming.

I like your way of thinking. :)

Yeah, generally we're more established, make more money, and more worldly/have more game. So its pretty easy to bang girls in their early 20s to mid-40s right now for me. Its fun and all, but at the end of the day we all want to meet a good girl to settle down with.

Unless you're like me, and couldn't get a hand job in a crack house with an 8-ball taped to my nuts...

Hey man, just checking your threads ... wtf? Ahh well. It's not always easy being ... the one who lives vicariously through himself. :-)

Here's to love -- cheers.

its much easier if you go out of the country. american women are teh suck.

I wouldn't say teh suck. But my wife is English and after 13 years her Britishisms still bust me up. Foreign girls are hawt.

On the other hand, travel is kind of a bitch. This summer I'm taking the wife and kids to England for 6 weeks. If I can pull it off for under 14 grand, I'll be patting myself on the back.

Jesus. I still can't believe how much money this is going to suck away. $6500 just for four plane tickets. Fuck me. For that much coin I should be in orbit.

Find yourself a nice Thai girl, ABM. Thailand is cheap as fuck. Just check for junk first.
