With all the speculation going around, who do you think is going where?

There may be a real chance that POR could stay at #6 and get 1 of Beal, MKG or Robinson.....

The latest....

Well Barnes just shut down a workout with SAC, so he must think he is going top 4...

WAS has long been rumoured to Beal, but there was a quote that they wouldn't let MKG slip past them.....

CHA is trying to trade the #2 for a proven star player or for multiple assets, oh yeah and they want someone to take back Tyrus Thomas's fugly contract...ugh...not sure they will get any takers on that.

SAC has been rumoured to be willing to trade out or down from the #5....They worked out both Lillard and Drummond and both workouts seemed to go very well...

CLE has been linked to Barnes, MKG and Beal...Both Beal and Barnes recently worked out in CLE and it was leaked that Beal looked better than Barnes, and then today Barnes shuts down a workout with SAC @ #5...hmm....

1) NO -Davis

Only given....

So what CHA does, if they trade the pick or keep it, will alter what the teams below them do...the consensus seems to be the Robinson will go #2...and that could be the case, then I could see MKG @ #3 to WAS and that leaves CLE whom I think would take Beal, but that means Barnes slides to #5...something doesn't seem to fit here...

So maybe that means if CHA keeps the pick they have told Barnes that he will be the guy...MJ & Barnes,? seems to fit IMO...So Barnes @ #2?...That leaves Robinson to slide to #4, does SAC take him @ #5 with a very similiar player in Cousins sitting there? Or do they opt for a PG Lillard or C in Drummond, both of whom would be better fits? So possibly Robinson slides to #6...

I think they would opt for Lillard or Drummond...OR if necessary that could open the door for POR to help push SAC in that direction by offering to flip flop pick...like a player from POR like Crawford or Freeland? or maybe taking a contract like Salmons back? I think that is very plausible...

That is my tea leaf reading for today...will likely change every few days...

I still have a tough time believing Robinson could slide to #5\#6...but I think it will be him, Beal or MKG....

Your thoughts?

i wonder if kp is gonna pritchslap anyone

He already did - Morway!!

KP kinda makes me nervous. I could see him working some maneuvers to try to screw over Portland. Whether that's blocking a move we're trying to make (we did it a few different times over the years while he was working in our front office). KP seemed to enjoy screwing out-maneuvering other teams and messing up their plans, so I could see him getting twice as much joy out of doing it to Portland.

Yeah, this is going to be fun.

lol, I did this and then just saw the link that CLE will take Beal if he is there at #4....
It sure looks like the pieces are coming together.....

1) NO - Davis
2) CHA - Barnes
3) WAS - Kidd-Gilchrist
4) CLE - Beal
5) SAC - ???? or POR?

It is sure looking lie Robinson could be there for the taking.....I think all SAC needs is a little incentive to make it happen.....

Davis, Barnes, MKG, Beal, ?? I think Sacramento could look to trade at that point, with teams interested in Robinson? Maybe Cho realizes in passing on Robinson that PF seems to be the easiest position to fill in the NBA with above average talent, and would rather not use 2 on it.

You would take Lillard over Robinson?

Really?

My guess is Barnes cancelled with Sacramento to try and avoid playing there

actually, pg is just as easy if sorting by >15 PER and >30 mpg

sf is the hardest btw

Sacramento is wanting a leader and a guy who's ready to play now...

That sounds like Robinson through and through...

There were also reports that Beal torched Barnes in a workout for Cleveland

He doesn't have $3M anymore. The Allen advantage was the engine behind almost every Pritchard trade and signing.

Two things:

1) I can't believe Drummond making it to #6.

2) I can't believe Lillard not making it to #6.

So if it's Drummond we're after, we're going to have to move up. Otherwise, probably it's Lillard.

I think it's 50/50 or 40/60 Drummond makes it to #6. I know there are a lot of smokescreens out there, but the Top-4 seems to be something like:

1. AD
2. T-Rob (or maybe Barnes)
3. MKG
4. Maybe Beal, but otherwise T-Rob or Barnes.

So Drummond is at least around at #5. I was super-excited for Drummond for some time now. But the combine and pre-draft workouts have had me nervous, so I'm kind of hoping he's gone before Portland and we don't even have to debate the potential choice. If Drummond goes #5, one of the guys mentioned above will certainly be available for Portland. Would love to see the rumors of Barnes at #2 Cleveland selecting Beal at #4 holding true - that could mean we very well end up with T-Rob.

Well, you may be right but he is so far and away the best big in the draft that someone is going to snag him. Or at least it's how I see it. I think if we end up with both Drummond and Lillard it'll be a good draft.

I was going to post this as well. I remember the article awhile back saying teams and not draft position is important to agents. That said, rumors are that Charlotte is high on him

I agree, though without making some deals, right now it doesn't seem like a possibilility. Lillard seems like he'll go 7-10, if not to Portland at #6. If Lillard is there at 9 or 10, perhaps Portland can move up to get him (without giving up too much). If Drummond were there at #6 (assuming AD, Barnes, MKG, Beal, and T-Rob are gone), if I'm Portland and I was happy with his workout/interview/potential.

If Drummond and T-Rob are available at #5, I pray T-Rob somehow slides to #6.

drummond is the exact kind of prospect that goes #1 9/10 times, and could easily end up better than unibrow

6 and Freeland for 5? Would you? Would they?

If i were Sac town i would do it absolutely. Petrie knows the Euro players and has good success with them.

For Robinson or Beal i would do it for Portland in a heartbeat.

I agree, but the work ethic thing is what has me worried about Drummond. He could be the best player in this draft - but only if that's what he wants.

Sadly, there a lot of players who could be amongst the best in the league if they put forth the effort, but instead are satisfied collecting a paycheck and simply being considered above-average.

Does Drummond want to be great? Or, just collect paychecks? He reminds me of a guy content on collecting paychecks.

That's what I'm saying. Maybe he wants more, and he's just so sensitive and nice, like a former center prospect (and giant bust) we just let go. But of management believed he wanted more, I'd trust their judgement.

i wouldnt try as hard as i could in college either to be honest, but when i hit the nba, i would bust my ass to get that max contract

Not the for my team then. The truly great players go all out, all the time
