Check out the rebounds per 48 so far this year.

Interesting/surprising:
1. Dwight Howard. I read somewhere that he could be had for a second round pick. Seriously. But at least he's rebounding well.
8. Kevin Love
9. Tristan Thomson. Those two plus LeBron makes the Cavs a rebounding monster.
13. Trevor Booker - wonder if that's partly him getting all the ones Brook Lopez doesn't.
14. Russell Westbrook - that is just INSANE. Hate on him all you like, but that is incredible.
18. Mason Plumlee - higher than I would've guessed. He IS going to get paid. Better find a replacement...
22. Robin Lopez - I'd love to have him back. Maybe a Plumlee sign-and-trade?
23. JaMychal Green - isn't he a SF?
25. Giannis Antetokounmpo - oh what might have been.
26. Kevin Durant - that's pretty high for a guy who probably weighs about 195.
32. James Harden - this is like when Kevin Willis had that insane rebounding year and nobody noticed because it was the first year of Rodman's explosion. (Rodman = Westbrook in this analogy.)
36. Nicolas Batum - thank Christ we dumped THIS loser, right guys?
37. LeBron James - I think he's dialing everything back for the playoffs.
41. Avery Bradley - higher than every Blazer outside of Plumlee...
 
That list is not adjusted for pace. Guys that play for teams that play at a fast pace and shoot a low percentage are going to get more rebounds than guys whose team plays at a slower pace.

There are also a lot of players missing that should be on the list (Tyson Chandler, Zach Randolph, Joakim Noah, Greg Monroe, Alex Len, Enes Kanter, etc.). I'm not sure what qualifying criteria they are using for those per 48 numbers, but all the guys I mentioned have played enough to qualify for the per game rebounding leader board.

I think TRB% is a much more accurate judge of a player's (or a team's) rebounding ability than non-pace adjusted REB/48.

We play at a fast pace and miss a lot of shots. That inflates Plumlee's REB/48 and make it look much more impressive than his TRB% of 15.1, which isn't terrible but is far from elite. In fact, it's below average for a starting center.

That's a much different list, and IMHO, a much "better" list of the league's best rebounders than the REB/48 list used to start this thread.

^^^^I like that much better. Where does Aminu and Plumlee rank on that list?

Agreed. When sorting by TRB%, Davis is our best rebounder entering at #38 (with a minimum of 100min played). Mason comes in at #59. Here is the top 20 from Basketball-reference.com

For under the radar moves, I wouldn't mind seeing Boban or KOQ here.
 
So can that above chart be filtered to players that play more than 20 mpg? Having someone like Alan Williams at #4 who has barely played over 100 minutes all season long doesn't mean much.

boban looks like he would be so difficult to coach (language barrier I would assume). on that last play against the blazers they put him in and everyone was just giving him hand signals on what to do. he looked completely clueless lol
 
I am surprised by Greg Monroe's standing on those lists. I guess Rebounding doesn't mean Defense though. Lol

A minimum requirement of 100 minutes played over 42 games is a pretty small sample size. There are reasons guys like Boban Marjanovic have only played 139 minutes all season. Sure, I'd take him as a relatively cheap big man off the bench, but he's not a needle mover and will never be the starting center, or play big minutes, on a good team. It's never a good sign when SAS lets a player walk. That usually means we've seen the best they have to offer.

More reason to want Noah. GET NOAH! He does everything Plumlee does and he plays defense, rallies the troops and rebounds like a motherfucker. AND he's already been overpaid, whereas Plumlee is about to be.

There are several things about Monre's advanced stats that surprised me, such as his Drtg of just 102, his defensive win shares of 2.8, and his defensive box +/- of +2.2 (much higher than his OBPM of just 0.6).

The stats suggest that he's actually not a net negative defensively like the conventional wisdom says he is.

82games.com shows nothing but good things for Monroe as well. Why do people hate him so much again?

He's slow as molasses, so it would take a special team, but it's wrong to say the Spurs wanted to let him go.

He's had positive defensive metrics in the advanced stats section of BkRef his entire career, although this season is certainly better than prior. 82games confirms the same.

He certainly seems more "gettable" than a lot of the other names thrown out. He has an opt-out though I believe. That is a bit scary.
