I want some good, not too old music from Mos Def, Nas, Common, Talib Kweli, Andre 3000

Kinda getting tired of this mainstream shitty ass music nowadays, need something new to jam to.

Thanks

Pick up some old "pre-Kanye" Common albums.

Pick up some One Be Lo.

Buy every Tribe Called Quest album ever put out. That should keep you busy.

Could you give me the names of the Common albums?

Like Water for Chocolate
Can I Borrow a Dollar
Electric Circus
One Day It'll All Make Sense
Resurrection (start here)

If you want both Mos Def and Talib Kweli, you know they made an album together in '98 right? They formed a group called Blackstar (album was self-titled), it was a one time album, and it was pretty amazing.

P.O.S.
Atmosphere
Sims
El-P
Kidz In The Hall
Louis Logic

Random Few Off The top of my head

Tech N9ne, skatterman and snug brim, Big Krizz Kaliko, Critical Bill

Asher Roth, KiD CuDi, N.E.R.D, Common, Ludacris, Kanye, Lupe, Pharrell...ah...that's all I can think about right now.

"I love Kanye, his shit is bombay, but I'm rough"-Tech N9ne, This is me, Everready (The Religion)

Dre Day (Classic, will never die)
Lil Wayne - Best Rapper Alive (just heard it the other day, it's a little old)
Young Jeezy - My president is black (gets old after you hear it a few times, all of Jeezy's songs do)

Your getting to the age where a lot of rap is getting repetitive. Expand your taste, just don't start listening to country or old folk music.

You need to get "Eat or Die" and "Mange Ou Mourir" from Rass Kass. They've been haunting me for the last 2 months. Sickk songs. Common's album "Be" is great and Cunninlynguists' "A Piece of Strange," the whole album is great.

Machine Gun Funk - Biggie
Gimme the Loot - Biggie
Juicy - Biggie
Daydreamin' - Lupe Fiasco
Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat - Dr. Dre
Hits From the Bong - Cypress Hill
Deep Cover - Dr. Dre
International Boss - Haitian Fresh
I Run - Slim Thug

Just shit I've been listening to recently.

A little bit of offtopic, but what are Kanye's best songs in your opinion guys ? For me it's Heard Em Say, Touch the Sky, Drive Slow, Diamonds Are Forever and Gold Digger.
I mean, he's not a rapper anymore, he's a dickriding ***got r'n'b singer. He used to be good, though.

*Agrees*

But Kanye's whole first and second album are both really good, his third is good too.

I'm a big fan of Young Jeezy. I think his beats and lyrics are nice. I recommend anything by Jeezy, really.

Lupe, Jeezy, Chamillionaire, and Kanye are the main ones I listen to. And yes, Recession was one of my favorite albums from 2008

Jump back hard with NWA, Ice Cube, Ice T, The ramones, man the list is endless.
