Just heard that now, I hope it means that they've FINALLY had enough of Drew.
or pirela or petit or....... but will be happy to finally see this kid get a shot.
hope the kid can stay
Me too and I also hope they give him enough of a chance. I checked out his stats and he really has nothing left to do in the minors. In over 800 AA/AAA ABs he's hitting well over .300. If not now when? Especially when you have sub .200 hitting options at second. We're just going to have to live with some errors because he's certainly not going to be the glove Drew is over there.
i understand i will get blasted for this around here but damn robbie was the best at second i have ever watched. i loved sandberg for the cubs growing up around this place but robbie was so smooth and a beast with the bat. i still think he ends up in the hall if he stays with the yanks but the guy chose the $. most of us would do the same if given the chance in our professions.

But does he have a good range factor? Lol!...I hope he brings his bat with him because his defensive shortcomings could be a problem.
In reading last nights game recap there is a short blurb of Drew commenting that it will be nice to see Refsnyder up. Very interesting comment knowing there's a possibility that Refsnyder may well be his replacement.
You know your career is in trouble when you can go 1 for 5 & have your average go up.

But does he have a good range factor? Lol!
Drew lost his shoe. The rest is history.
I really hope the kid does so well while he's here that the Yankees will find it difficult to send him back down.
I also want to be part of a large group singing Drew's goodbye song, " na na hey hey goodbye".

If Stephen Drew is glad to have you on board,
you must know the 2B job is yours to keep.[/QUOTE]
We can hope Cage.
