RENO BIGHORNS @ IDAHO STAMPEDE - 3/29/2014 - SATURDAY, 6:00 PM (PST), YOUTUBE

Here I sit in my Stampede uniform, yellow cheerleader tassles on my shoelaces, waiting for that ref with the blonde pigtails to call my number. I'll show her what a foul is.
Just contain the dribble penetration, have good ball movement and whatever you do, Don't bounce the balls hard on the floor when she blows the whistle.

The Stampede are now 23-24. I KNOW I heard him say that the team will now finish the season below .500. Maybe there are 3 more road games and he's a pessimist?

I heard him say the top 3 seeds in the playoff get to choose their opponent..didn't know that but what an advantage that is

Announcer just said the top 3 seeds in the D league get to pick their opponent, wow, that's pretty cool

Do they get to drop their last 3 games? It appears the last 3 games have run out the back door and made a break for it.

Too fast. Playground basketball. Crabbe does nothing for a long time, then gets a rebound. 2 minutes left in the 1st, tied at 17. In all my many D-League games I never see them use up the clock. Just joking. I only watch when a Blazer is called down.

Yeah Riv, the 498 are banging on my door.

Watching these guys it makes me understand why they're playing in the D league...not lights out shooters

I wonder whether other teams (with coaches who didn't come straight from high school) shoot better with more controlled plays.

Edit: I hadn't read your post right above this.

I think Snider said after tonight the playoffs are set so maybe the bottom feeders play for the cardboard trophy against each other for another week. Maybe they just go home and chase D league cheerleaders around the barn

In a taped interview, Peck doesn't expect to be with the Blazers. Here's what I found about him at Findlay Prep.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/ka...ay-findlay-prep-michael-peck-develops-pro-co/

The Pilots went 157-8 in his five seasons, 32-1 in 2011-2012. They were the top-ranked team in the country by USA Today after the 2008-2009 season and were unbeaten in 65 home games with Peck on the sidelines.

..Four of Peck's former Findlay players have reached the NBA: Tristan Thompson (Cleveland), Avery Bradley (Boston), Corey Joseph (San Antonio), and DeAndre Liggins (Orlando). Two former Runnin' Rebels from Peck's stint with the UNLV program also made it to the NBA: Joel Anthony (Miami) and Louis Amundson (Indiana).

…He poked around the country for options at the collegiate level and spoke with Dave Rice as Rice was finalizing his staff at UNLV. That would have seemed an ideal move, as Peck could have remained in Las Vegas. His wife, Terri, is an executive at Fox 5. Peck says the family has held onto its home in Henderson, and he plans to retire in the Las Vegas area. His first position in the city was with the Runnin’ Rebel program as video coordinator for coaches Charlie Spoonhour and Lon Kruger, and he did seek a spot on the UNLV coaching staff when Rice was hired before the 2011-2012 season.

…“You might as well have handed me the rulebook to soccer,” Peck says, laughing. “You have 8 seconds to advance the ball (past mid-court). You have a wider lane. You have a longer (3-point) arc. You have a 3-second defensive count in the lane...You have a 24-second shot clock, 11 seconds less than the college one.”

...Give the 2,500 or so fans who turn out at CenturyLink something to get excited about beyond the blimp that hovers over the crowd and drops coupons to a local lube shop.
