That tax assessor Gaetz is associated with? Story keeps getting crazier. He got hit with a new series of indictments for allegedly embezzling from the county to buy cryptocurrency and sports memorabilia. While on bail, this Lex Luthor wannabe decided it was a really neat idea to commit a whole new set of crimes. He then allegedly tried to bribe an official with Small Business Administration in an attempt to set up a fake company in order to fraudulently apply for Covid relief funds.

Gaetz' buddy sure better sing. He's facing more than 30 felony charges.

He didn't just stalk the person who had the effrontery to run against him. He sent nine letters to the school where this man teaches, each purporting to be from a different student alleging sexual contact with this teacher. Police looked at them and said the language was that of an adult, not a teen, and they were all nearly word for word identical. Since they were sent through US mail, feds were called in. Our would be criminal mastermind had left his DNA and fingerprints on all the letters. So he is facing extortion and mail fraud charges on top of child sex trafficking, stalking, embezzlement, et al.

Some people were just not cut out for a life of crime.

Inside the Matt Gaetz/Donald Trump talks:

"Can you grant me a pardon?"
"For what?"
<To self: "Don't say sex trafficking, don't say sex trafficking">
"Uh, you know...for whatever. Liberal media, deep state, am I right?" <nervous sweat>

Trump said Gaetz strongly denied sex trafficking. Trump also said Roy Moore strongly denied child molesting, Putin strongly denied interfering in US election, and Mohammed bin Salman strongly denied involvement in murder of Jamal Khasoggi.

And Trump strongly denied Obama was born in the United States. He also strongly denied ever lying.

"A former Florida tax collector linked to the Justice Department's investigation into Congressman Matt Gaetz is expected to plead guilty, lawyers in the case said in court on Thursday."
The lawyer went on to say that he imagines the Rep. Gaez does not feel comfortable meaning that the lawyer's client, Joel Greenberg, is about to make a plea deal dooming
Gaetz.

Gaetz Paid Accused Sex Trafficker, Who Then Venmo’d Teen

In two late-night Venmo transactions in May 2018, Rep. Matt Gaetz sent his friend, the accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg, $900. The next morning, over the course of eight minutes, Greenberg used the same app to send three young women varying sums of money. In total, the transactions amounted to $900.

The memo field for the first of Gaetz’s transactions to Greenberg was titled “Test.” In the second, the Florida GOP congressman wrote “hit up ___.” But instead of a blank, Gaetz wrote a nickname for one of the recipients. (The Daily Beast is not sharing that nickname because the teenager had only turned 18 less than six months before.) When Greenberg then made his Venmo payments to these three young women, he described the money as being for “Tuition,” “School,” and “School.”

It’s almost as if the political class in this country are sick, depraved sociopaths not worthy of governing.

Almost as if.......?????? These are all people who couldn’t make it in the “real world” so they went into politics where anything and everything goes. They just have to be too over the top before anyone calls them out on it. Considering what we have seen in politics the past three decades, I’m actually kind of shocked that Gaetz is being pursued as hard as it appears he is......he must have seriously pissed off some powerful Republicans.....
