It's the dump button delay for cussing... the answer would be for radio to delay the call, I could swear they did that somewhere... but that would encourage people to mute the TV which the Blazers don't want.

We talked with Wheels about this and he said that is not the case. He said the delay was merely due to distribution and that the person that could develop an app to sync the two could probably make a little money.

I love the new broadcast team. Hurd has gotten better as the season has progressed.

I'd like to see Barrett back and pair him up with Holton. Fans would go nuts if MB was back, TV ratings would go up.
My beef with Colabro is that he does too much radio play by play on TV. We can see the game, we dont need to be told "Damian drives to the lane, dishes it off to CJ...". He doesnt give us the back ground info we want. Who's in the game (substitutions), stat streaks/trends, etc. I want better game info and good analysis.

This. Exactly this. He's doing radio. On TV. He's telling me what I'm seeing. He should be telling me something I'm not seeing. Or something I don't know.

Hubie Brown is even worse. Watch Hubie describe a replay: "See, he takes one dribble, see. Gives a little ball fake, jumps off one foot, and finger rolls it off the glass. The ball bounces on the rim, and goes in." Really Hubie? Really? That's brilliant insight. SMH

I'm still under the paranoid belief that they hired Cola Bro to replace Wheels on the radio. My paranoia isn't based on Paul Allen secretly hiring a Seattle guy to help with the eventual move to Seattle...but it's based on the fact that Cola Bro's best work is behind the mic on the radio.

Anyone think Michael Holton would do a better job than Hurd? Holton used to be even cornier than Hurd, but has really improved.

I'd still prefer someone like Brent Barry, but man just about anyone would be better than Hurd. I thought he'd settle down and settle in after a month or two, but he's just as bad now as he was on opening night. If anything, he's worse. At least his stupid jokes and corny expressions used to be new. Now he's just repeating things that bombed the first time, and every time since.

It's been a whole season and I still miss the Mikes. Calabro and Hurd are tolerable at best.

I think it was @riverman that mentioned replacing Jaynes with the Mikes, or maybe just Barrett on Talkin' Ball is a great idea. Jaynes needs to be completely irradicated from all Portland media once and for all. How he resurrected his career here is beyond me. He's fucking awful. Always has been.

Interesting, learned something today. There are freeware apps out there for this already, but since they "blackout" the internet radio broadcasts for NBA games it doesn't work. I'm thinking of rigging up something with a radio, microphone and guitar delay pedal for the playoffs...
