Mo Bamba is consistently getting DNP-CDs. Would absolutely be worth taking a flyer on...

Still recovering from Covid. Has played since he got it months ago. Been kept out to rehabilitate. Something wrong there.

Zach, and a couple second rounders for Bamba. They get to either view Zach as an expiring contract or an RFA depending on what they see his value as being and get a couple of future second round picks for a player they're not playing.

As I recall, Enes took us to the WCF.
And he had Zach backing him up playing QUALITY playoff minutes to help be the defensive anchor in situations when Enes was getting scored on. We don't have that luxury now. That playoff run is the only reason I'm not fully aboard the trade Zach bandwagon.

Somebody mentioned that Cleveland has a glut of bigs and although Drummond would be out of our price range....Javale McGee would be gettable and probably cheap is we needed a big...he's a solid bench center
I would go after Jarrett Allen that just got traded to them.

that’s not true, he’s played.
There was talk that he may have sustained permanent damage to his lungs due to COVID (I think it's called being a COVID long hauler) but I'd take him for Zach and a couple of seconds regardless.

the problem is we don’t have a big enough TPE to absorb his contract so we would have to trade someone for him. I don’t think the situation is that dire yet.

lol. made me laugh actually. "Yeah we will take your COVID long hauler for Zach and two second rounders" jeez. And Bamba isnt even good

Zach's always injured ass isn't even that good when healthy either. Bamba probably can't give us more than 20 minutes right now but that's a helluva lot more than Zach and two future second rounders can.

Zach is miles ahead of bamba. What has bamba ever done in the nba? Zach is a rotation player on a playoff team. Bamba would strictly be a lottery ticket.

That's how I was thinking about him... Ellebey + a future 2nd type of "why not" while we have a need, kind of deal. Not a massive future swinging move...

We should actually have some money. Nurkic won’t be able to meet the amount of games he have to play this year, that incentive was worth 1.25 mil so that leave us around 1.8 mil to sign a minimum contract player without going over the tax line. The thing is that there really isn’t any center that interest me in the FA. Only John Henson and maybe Skal. My 2 way contract target would be Justin Patton, he shoot 3s, block shots, and pass pretty well. My trade target would be Whiteside, Noel, or McGee. We could really use a shot blocker especially behind Kanter

I'd see what the Wolves would need to bring back Ed Davis...he'd be a great bandaid for the frontcourt...plug and play..knows the system and most of the players..he'd shore up the offensive rebounding if Kanter starts and let Harry be the scorer off the bench

isn’t Dedmon a FA? I’d take him if what you say is true about being able to sign him without tax implications

Another option is Goga Bitadze. He can hit mid range jumpers very well and can make nice passes. He’s actually a decent shot blocker too. I just wonder what the cost would be to get him

yeah i get it, but its not like Bamba isnt basically a version of Zach. Maybe worse, if he truly has Covid issues for the long term. I *might* trade two picks for Bamba, but no way Zach.

Did you see what Indy was doing with Kanter in there last night?

I have never seen a more wide open paint in my life. They must have had like 10 layups in a row.
They did it with Nurk in the game as well. Not saying we wont miss the big guy, but its not like he was performing super spectacular. Kanter is a better rebounder/especially offensive boards.
With Harry & Kanter it would be much like Kanter and Collins in the WCF.

I'm still wondering? Do they start Kanter or Giles?
I can make a case for going either way.

Let's be honest here. We can't replace Nurkic. Granted he wasn't playing to his peak potential this season, the best we can hope to do is fill in for him. My Nurk fever has turned into the Nurk blues. I just hope he has a speedy and full recovery.
