Report: Blazers will have the worst starting 5 in the Western Conference (1 Viewer)

It's "Bleacher Report," lol...

And have they decided who is going to start? Because I'm pretty sure Terry Stotts hasn't...

Yes, there is potential here, and athleticism. But I saw enough of that with Nic.

Dame is a real starter. I don't really know who else is. A guy or two will break out and that will be nice to see. I put the odds on Myers, maybe CJ. I don't really know the other guys well enough to say. It will be fun to watch them develop, but 29 - 35 wins is what we should expect.

I disagree. I love Dame, but I'd say he's borderline all star. Our wings are fringe starters. Our big are also fringe starters. On bad teams they start, on good teams they are key reserves. We are hoping some guys develop into more. On paper we suck.
Dang he was borderline? Dame is like 10th or something in the entire league for Jersey sales.

As for production... Well, he gave Aldridge the green light to be the man because he wanted to make sure Aldridge's ego wasn't hurt. Just wait until this season starts and you will eat your words.

I would start Damian, CJ, Henderson, Leonard and Plumlee. The rest of the regular rotation should be Frazier, Crabbe, Harkless, Aminu, Vonleh and Davis.

There's not really a question, I get what you're saying, but your response makes it clear you're not hearing me. Your response was clever, though. I mean, the whole "games aren't played on paper" is what I'm getting at.

And I didn't ask for anyone's help.
Just because you forgot to use a question mark and used a period, doesn't make "I don't understand how you rate this team?" into a statement.

Damian Lillard
Gerald Henderson

No other player on the ENTIRE FUCKING SQUAD averages more than 9ppg. I think that's a pretty safe bet.

Simple really, the young guys step up and take the challenge or they become the worst. Somehow don't see a starting lineup of losers on the team though. Either way, somebody will get what they want. I don't think anybody has us pegged as contenders that's for sure

If we finish in the top 8 in the WC, Stotts deserves COY. Otherwise, we need to finish 15th.

Any finish between 9th and 14th means we screwed the pooch.

Stotts is going to mix up lineups all season looking for the starting 5..we'll sure know more at the trade deadline than we do now

It's weird even trying to imagine what the new look Blazers will be like this season. It's like your favorite show was cancelled and you try to watch whatever they replaced it with.

According to bleccher report we shouldn't win hardly any games. I wonder if adam fromal would back that up with some chedda, yo . . .

Winning culture>lottery tanker team mentality

"Winning culture" means making the play-offs. Finishing in the 9-12 range means you are a loser AND stupid. That may seem harsh - but it is precisely how I am feeling right now. The goal is to either make the play-offs or build for the future.

We would be challenging the '73 Sixers' loss record if that prediction came true. Even the 2012 Bobcats had four players who averaged double figures. Interestingly, Henderson was on that team too.

we'll be lucky to get 20 wins.

Embrace the badness. Focus on player development. Dream of a better future.

It's the only way we're going to make it through this rough stretch.

No. Agreed on the development, but not on the "badness". Embrace the potential.

Interestingly enough, we got better at two positions this offseason, at least starter wise.

Aminu last year was better than (last seasons) Batum.

And Plumlee is better than Rolo, IMO, at the very least they are the same.

Aldridge is the problem.

I fully disagree, if you have a young team with talent, lottery isn't the goal. It's trying to make the playoffs, it's getting competitive and gelling as a unit.

I also disagree. If a completely remade, very young team with four new starters and $20m+ in cap space is able to win close to 40 games, that will be a much better harbinger of things to come than a last place finish would.

I heard something about a five spread but forgot where that came from.
