Well it looks like julius has asked the question of the day and I fear, gave us the answer.

I don't think we have the leadership in this country to deal with this problem. I fear we will see more of these incidents, if not many more, before we have the leadership in place willing to take effective action and deal with the problem.

The shooting happened in Paris and over 100 people were killed. France has strict gun laws, and all anyone wanted to talk about was terrorism. They wanted to talk about Islam, refugees and ISIS. Nobody talked about the guns. Nobody cared about how the terrorists got fully automatic rifles into a country with strict gun laws.

Shooting happens in California, a state with some of (if not the) most stringent gun laws in the US, and now it's all about guns. It's all about mass shootings. It's all about how we need to do something about the guns. What am I missing? Why is this a mass shooting and not a terrorist attack? Why is this STILL about gun laws? Supposedly the shooters were using AK-47's..... which are illegal in California. What's the difference here?
