In the past several months A****er City Councilman Gary Frago has sent at least a half-dozen e-mails to city staff and other prominent community members containing racist jokes aimed at President Barack Obama, his wife and black people in general.

In all, the Sun-Star obtained seven e-mails that Frago sent from October 2008 to February 2009 from an anonymous source.

Some compared Obama to O.J. Simpson while others suggested that "****** rigs" should now be called "presidential solutions."

Perhaps the most overboard e-mail was sent on Jan. 15. It read: "Breaking News Playboy just offered Sarah Palin $1 million to pose nude in the January issue. Michelle Obama got the same offer from National Geographic."

Frago admitted sending the e-mails, but showed no regret. "If they're from me, then I sent them," he said. "I have no disrespect for the president or anybody, they weren't meant in any bad way or harm."

Story #2:
Diann Jones, a vice chairman of the Collin County Republican Party, has apologized for an e-mail that some local judges denounced as racist.

But she also lashed out at judges who forwarded her e-mail and condemned her.

In an e-mail Tuesday to state District Judge Robert Dry, Jones wrote, "If someone is offended by something in an e-mail, I don't think forwarding it on to 50 other people [that never originally saw it] is really prudent ... That action simply multiplies the offensive e-mail and enlarges the damage."

The war of words began a week ago when Jones sent an e-mail to local Republican clubs, rallying support against a state bill that would have imposed a $50 tax on guns. The e-mail included the statement, "Another terrific idea from the black house and its minions."

State District Judge Chris Oldner, the administrative judge, fired back at Jones.

He said he was "offended by the derogatory racial message."

"As a Republican elected official, I find this hostile race-baiting inappropriate and counterproductive," Oldner wrote to Jones. "We are fighting to win the hearts and minds of the citizens of this County, the State and this Country. This only makes that fight more difficult."

Dry then e-mailed other district and county judges, backing Oldner's comments.

"Each of you should also go on record as supporting his response," Dry wrote. "Your silence can create an ambivalent impression that leaves Chris in left field."

In her e-mail reply Tuesday to Oldner and other judges, Jones said she was "horrified" when she realized she had included the sentence in her e-mail.

Yeah lady sure...thats why you wrote it..

Story #3:
A prominent S.C. Republican Party activist is in hot water after describing an escaped gorilla at a South Carolina zoo as an “ancestor” of First Lady Michelle Obama.
The exchange occurred after Trey Walker, an advisor to S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster, posted an innocuous Facebook update about this morning’s escape of a Western Lowlands Gorilla from Columbia’s Riverbanks Zoo.
Walker’s harmless update, however was followed by a highly-questionable comment from longtime SCGOP activist and former State Senate candidate, Rusty DePass.
“I’m sure it’s just one of Michelle’s ancestors — probably harmless,” DePass wrote.
An early South Carolina supporter of former President George W. Bush, DePass has been active in Republican politics in South Carolina for decades.
FITS has obtained a vid cap of his remark from a Facebook friend …

Anyway, these are all pretty small time politicians, aren't they? It's not that most Republicans are racists. Far from the truth. It's that most racists are probably Republicans. Just like most panhandlers (who vote) are probably Democrats.

I think for the most part dems and repubs attack each other... say/write nasty things... and right now is no different. The jokes are not politically correct at all... and while yeah... those people could be racist... I don't know I'd jump to that conclusion based on a cutting joke.

dang it...who edited the title, now Shooter will never touch this thread...lame

Did you guys know that Mexicans don't like black people?

I might be out of line if I said ALL Mexicans but every one I know hates black people.

As I get older I am starting to realize that just about everyone is racist. Who woulda thunkit?:dunno:

I would have figured that Republicans would be making Hitler jokes or some other kind of jokes about Obama being a socialist. I guess they just resorted to the easiest way of making fun of him. Oh well.

Was anyone else blown away by that report on Marcus Epstein? He karate chopped a random woman in the head!!! Who does that?!? Down with racism and all that, but holy hell is that sort-of extremely funny.

Why a karate chop?!?! Did he yell "HI-YAAH!"??!? It boggles the mind.
