Rich Cho new GM

In your world of over-generalizing everyone, yes, I believe that's the only other option. If not, name me someone who doesn't fall into either the 'inexperienced' or 'retread' category?

Accomplished GM currently employed by another team? Don't you see them leaving posts to join other teams every year, noknobs? Come on now!

But nobody--not Paul Allen, not Larry Miller, not Rich Cho, not Nate McMillan, not Tod Leiweke, not Steve Gordon, NOBODY has ever said anything about rebuilding.

WHHHHOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Genius.

KP already put work in in the 2006 draft before he was fired. It was an easy choice. Too bad the Blazers had to ruin it.

We've all heard the reports by now that it may have been KP and his agent who had to ruin it, by breaking Paul Allen's Focker circle of trust. Who the F knows who ruined it, but KP is gone, move on.

I also heard there was a lot of jealousy.

Now I have to find highlights of this guy to show during CourtSide tonight!

Genius.

Was that the sound of my point going directly over your head? Not surprising.

I like it. Certainly better than Ferry, and a bit better than Pfund, IMO. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind if he F's everything up!

Did you see what you wrote?

Quite frankly, no other response was suitable.

He's the new Kevin Penn!!!!!!

"You never know!"

I'm sorry, I was unaware that you possessed a DeLorean and had ventured into the year 2015 to see that Cho had become a complete failure and in no way shape or form had a chance to combine the qualities of both Kevin Pritchard and Tom Penn. My bad, they were the best thing since sliced motherfucking bread and could not be surpassed by this Rich Cho man.

This was way before the Great Migration.....

Dude, OE--next time you're there, get me a hoverboard. Those things are TIGHT!

I'm not the one who fired Kevin Pritchard to hire the new Tom Penn.

I understand. The Blazers fired a competent GM without having a back-up plan in place. That was dumb and a needless risk.

OTOH, they lucked into a replacement who might actually be *good*, instead of settling for some John Nash type hack. Frankly, I am relieved and grateful.

Good at balancing the books. After that it could get shaky....

If you want to hand the team over to an unknown quantity at the very moment we are trying to make the final push for a championship... good news for you. We have.

None of this is about Pritchard or Cho individually. It's about our failure of an organization. It's about firing 2 people to hire 1 person with less experience on the cusp of a championship run.

If "he could be" is good enough for you so be it. I'm just surprised more teams haven't taken this route if it's such a good idea.

I'd rather not be putting faith in "might" at this point in the franchises run.

How do you know Cho isn't going to be the next John Nash?

Really, the thread should be:

"Mount OddEnormous Explodes;
recently hired GM Rich Cho dies in ensuing lava wave, never became as good as Kevin Pritchard."

Might, you never know, could be......

Now THAT'S confidence I can buy into.

He might be. Perfect timing Blazers.

I know it's a crazy thought, but why not let him make one deal or decision before we write his epitaph, hmm?

Definitely crazy. It's all opinions here and grasping at straws. KNOW THE FORUM THEN POST!!!!

I'm stoked. Great choice Blazers Brass well done. I have a great feeling about this guy!
