Good grief. He just got the league office to approve the Disabled Player Exception and has until Dec. 30th to use it. Tomorrow's the first day that players signed last summer can be included in a trade. I know reality bites at times, but it seems like we might give the guy a week or so.

It has been way more than a week since he made moves for this franchise that sucked.

Here is the way I view it on Bayless. At end of year, last year, IMO Bayless had established himself as the #3 guard on this team. He was better than Rudy. He made Blake dispensable. He was clearly the 3rd best guard on the team, a respected team that won 53 games. Then he was traded all so we could let an unproven player, a 2nd rounder no less. What do you think the success rate of 2nd round draft picks is? Maybe 3 in 25 make it in the NBA? Even less of them are ready to contribute in their first year. Yet here we are, coming off a 53 win season, and were going to ditch our #3 guard for an unproven 2nd rounder. Really? Does that sound like a good idea to anybody? I don't give a shit how much you hate Bayless. It was fucking stupid. Even if you didn't want him to play PG, he was a better SG than Rudy.

Now as for Pendergraph being waived. Right move. Shawn Marks was the best you could do with it though? Really????? I am pretty sure there are many D leaguers who could out play him. Most of the time he looks like he is amazed he is even out there on the floor.

I agree with your opinion on Bayless, but to be fair, Status Cho did bring in Oberto prior to Marks. Oberto had the good sense to get the fark out of here, though.

If he for some reason stopped being the GM right now, looking back, I would give him a vote of disapproval. So that is what I voted. But really, it is incomplete.

I think these numbers are skewed a little without an incomplete option. People are forced to vote for what they don't really identify with, and you have a lot of people abstaining from a vote as well.

But from what we have, it looks like 2 out of every 3 Blazer fan on this forum disapproves of the way Cho is doing his job.

We don't really have much to go on so far, though, and what we do have is pretty much a negative.

Trading Bayless for a future pick made the team worse.
Not trading Rudy after the Worlds (even for a pick) was a mistake, IMO. Rudy's value has only dropped since then.
Using the Injured Player exception on Oberto, who quit, and Sean Marks, who is not good, were 'meh' moves that didn't hurt the team, but didn't help, either.

That's about it, and given two options, I had to go with "disapprove".

He could certainly make some moves to go to "approve", though. A poll like this after next summer will be interesting to see.

Whil;e I voted that I don't approve, I don't really blame Cho. It's not like he is calling the shots.
