Their fans have leverage which is why LeBron is in Cleveland and not somewhere else. The Cavs have no leverage. LeBron can go to any team he wants.
Its tricky. I posted something earlier in this thread that would work.
Clownzano only works if he gets lost in Montana on his way to Cleveland...Can we throw Meyers and Clownzano in to sweeten the deal?
Don’t you mean the LAND!
You missed my joke... I will do better next timeNo.
We've never called it that. We've called it P-Town and "The Town" for decades. tho

"I'm taking my talents to Rain, No Beach."

Is that a spinoff from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia?cause it never rains in Cleveland...![]()

If I'm Olshey I'm taking this very seriously. Olshey needs to clear some space. If we got Bron it would the biggest get sinse thr Blazers landed Scottie Pippen.
Biggest get "since" Scottie? No--it would be the biggest get ever, period. If we got Bron it would the biggest get since the Blazers landed Scottie Pippen.
Yes, but they can decline the crumbs altogether if they're rotten and moldy. If you're the Cavs and you have the choice of paying luxury tax for Evan Turner and Meyers Leonard, or letting Lebron walk and completely resetting, you do the latter. IMO, if opt-in and trade is an option, Portland needs to offer CJ as a minimum to get Cleveland on board, otherwise they're better off just not participating. The Clippers had to take crumbs to trade CP3.

Unless of course we were able to finagle the Turner/Aminu for Griffin trade, and get Cleveland to include Korver in the Lebron for CJ/Harkless deal. Then you're looking at a starting lineup of Dame/Korver/Lebron/Griffin/Nurkic.Which is why we won't get him. Lebron will be choosing the best possible scenario for him to win. You offer a "minimum of CJ" then why would he choose to come here? Surrounding LBJ with multiple shooters make some sense. Just having Dame is not as desirable. A Dame, CJ, Harkless, LBJ, Nurk, or a Dame, CJ, LBJ, Collins, Nurk line-up is the minimum type of lineup he would consider IMO.
and how does he clear enough cap space?
LeBron will probably force his way to HOU so he can play with CP3.
Which means Eric Gordon could be a salary cap casualty (like he was when NOP traded CP3 to LAC). Unfortunately, his salary just went up from $12,943,020 to $13,500,375, which means he now makes too much to fit under the Crabbe TPE ($12,969,502 + $100,000).
But hey, Ryan Anderson will likely be available (again) to anyone (no one) who wants him!!!!
