I just saw Rick Adleman at Elmer's today in Beaverton and got to shake his hand. I was wondering what he's up to these days and found this article from last year. He says he's totally retired from basketball.
It's a pretty interesting article where he talks about how life in the NBA changed, and how it got more annoying as you have to deal more with the media and player agents these days. He also talks about the Drexler era and how it was his favorite group to coach.
I remember hoping the Blazers would bring him back some day. They fired him for Carlesimo, which was a terrible move, and we haven't had a coach as good as him till Stotts.
