Probably not enough. I think taking on salary might be our best bet. I think our #1 goal should be to find a way to get another mid lottery pick without giving up CJ, because it gives us the ability to do a lot of different things in the off-season. Something like
MIN Gets: Meyers Leonard, Noah Vonleh, ~20th pick (DET), Future 1st (POR)
POR Gets: ~7th pick (MIN top 3 protected) Zach Lavine, Nikola Pekovic
DET Gets: Gerald Henderson, Chris Kaman
Buyout Pekovic, allocate it all to this year's cap. Taking his contract of Minnys hands is incentive for them to do this. We might have to give MIN.
This would leave us with the 5th and 7th pick, which could leave us with 2 options.
1.) Package a combination of CJ, the 5th, and 7th picks for a great player or pick. Options I could see:
CJ+5th+7th+filler for DeMarcus Cousins
CJ+5th+7th+Future First for the 1st pick
5th+7th+filler for Eric Bledsoe
7th+filler for Brook Lopez
7th+Future1st+filler? for 2nd pick (Ingram?)
2.) Keep the picks
At 5, take Skal Labbissiere, Jaylen Brown, or Dragan Bender
At 7, take Jakob Poeltl, Jamal Murray, or Kris Dunn
Lillard / Lavine
Murray / McCollum
Aminu / Crabbe
Bender / Davis
Plumlee / FA Center
3.) We win the lottery, draft Ben Simmons, then try to trade up from 7 to 5 (7+Future pick?) so we can get Labissiere, Bender, or Brown
Lillard / Lavine
Crabbe / McCollum
FA SF (Parsons?) / Aminu
Simmons / Bender
Plumlee / Davis
Or
Lillard / Lavine
Crabbe / McCollum
Simmons / Aminu
Bender / (Combo of Simmons/Aminu)
FA C (Whiteside?) / Davis
