I didn’t agree with a lot of these articles and I thought he was an idiot with some of his stuff, but at least he gave hockey attention.

Sad to hear, I didn't even know he was sick. 75, died after a brief battle with cancer....

Sad news...he was a great writer who truly loved the Rangers and hockey in general. Fuck cancer.

Cant believe it. Love him or hate him he was a huge part of our lives for years and years. Players and coaches come and go, Brooksie was always there. Everytime I read the words "Regarding the Rangers" I knew I was in for a treat.

RIP Brooksie. Life is precious. Love you guys and go Rangers.

Mollie Walker is atrocious. She does nothing but kiss players and coaches asses. At least Brooks would rip guys even if they hated his ass.

Brooks was passionate about covering the Rangers and you have to appreciate that whether you agreed with him or not. Every Ranger fan for the past several decades read his columns and had a reaction. That’s all that matters. Unfortunately, cancer never cares. RIP.

One of the great things about getting the Post was hoping that there would actually be a hockey article in there, and Larry provided that instead of reading about the same baseball fucking homos every single day.
