The Porzingis trade seems odd to me, didn't he tear his acl? And on top of that there are articles saying he may miss all of next year?

Well if SA is going into full rebuild mode, I’d suspect have porzingis miss a year, getting a high lottery pick isn’t so bad, and I’d guess that means they will want to get rid of LMA this summer too.
