This is not going to happen.

You can't even talk to free agents yet so how are they going to be involved in trade talks? This is why I'm saying no to sign-and-trades.

Edit: For example, Kawhi is gonna be a free agent when he opts out. The Raptors don't just get to call teams and discuss sign-and-trades. The only way a sign-and-trade works is if Kawhi on his own decides he wants to sign with a team that doesn't have space. He'd then have the option of going to the Raptors and asking them.

So there is zero reasons a player who is a free agent should be coming up in trade talks. It's tampering.

Cant you talk to your own? Amd its a little different with Porzingis because he is a restricted free agent.

Regardless, dont shoot the messenger!

Can we fire/hire coaches? If so, Billy Donovan is on the hotseat

That would be cool

You could ask other gms for permission to interview coaches/asst coaches

I'll be on and off throughout the day with work and my sons birthday

Rockets finalizing deal to send Gordon, Tucker, Nene to Detroit Pistons

I've been on, off and on all day but I'm waiting til I get a good chance to sit down at home tonight to really scour over what I want to move forward with. I haven't been trying to blow anyone off. I'll make sure to respond to everything by around 5ish tonight. Apologies to anyone trying to make trades that I'm holding up.

Houston looking to buy in to the second round for a future pick/cash considerations

This is how things will work starting tonight:

In this thread one of the teams involved in the trade needs to make a post in this thread to get approval from the league office. While players are still on their current teams a link or screenshot of the trade machine can work too. It needs to have the full name (please try to spell correctly so no one pulls a "Wizards" where they tell Phoenix the wrong player being traded), the exact draft picks, and the total salary incoming and outgoing for each team (unless you provided a picture of that in the trade machine). If the pick is from the 2019 NBA Draft you will put 2019 Pick #11. If it is a future pick it needs to have the exact protections and the exact team it is coming from via what team's draft pick it is. For example if the Clippers traded the Heat's 2021 1st rounder they acquired in the Tobias Harris deal you would put Miami Heat 2021 1st Round Pick via LA Clippers (unprotected).

Example (using players ineligible to be traded):

Blazers get Dewayne Dedmon
Outgoing $6,957,105
Incoming $7,200,00

Hawks get Al-Farouq Aminu
Outgoing $7,200,000
Incoming $6,957,105

After 7:00 tonight I will create a new thread for confirmed trades. Once the league office has confirmed the trade there will be a post in that thread with the official trade. Whatever teams are in the trade then like that post. When all teams involved in the trade have liked the post it becomes official.

So to quickly recap:
Post trades needing confirmation in here
League approves or responds as to why it doesn't work
League posts approved trade in a separate thread
GM's of the teams involved like trade to finalize it

It looks like I'll have a couple of minor deals that I can post right away when the moratorium ends to show everyone how it works.

Nuggets and Thunder talking potential blockbuster that would send Westbrook to Denver.

Nuggets and Pistons still deep in talks. Picks and players still on the table.
