Wait a minute Chris. Booker signed an extension and has a poison pill contract. This doesn't work.

I warned people about not trusting the ESPN trade machine.

What...are the salaries off...does it not work?
Yeah Booker is on one of those complicated deals that make it really hard to trade. You have to average his salaries for the length of his contract and then one of you can only count it as his salary this year. They're hard to pull off.

?

He signed an extension last summer so next year he's going to be making a lot more money. This is referred to as a poison pill contract and is difficult to trade. Basically the Pelicans can't count his salary as $3 million.

Sorry, I just noticed this when I was running the final numbers.

I'll get you more details.

So he is actually a 31,610,000 contract instead of a 3 million contract... and I would be taking on $49 million instead of $22 Million....shit

For Booker

Suns count him outgoing as $3,314,365

Pelicans have to count him incoming as $26,89,061

Thats not going to work...damn
