Just messing with ya, I know your life is crazy right now and about to get crazier.
Well its a little hard with the Knicks they have basically banked on FA and their lottery pick. The spurs, Im honestly not sure they know what their doing. Id say Kawhi screwed them, but no one said hey take a 2g who cant shoot and an average starting (kind of?) center for one of the best players in the league lol.

This is officially fantasy basketball now lmao.

Millsap for Hayward is nothing like Giannis for Harden:roflmao:

Turner and Meyers for Millsap is pretty crazy. Not as crazy as Harden/Giannis. Either way its not happening in real life. I gave up being realistic when everyone else did.

Trading non-all-stars vs. trading the top 2 MVP candidates in the league.

And that is by far the most unrealistic move dont even blame others for that! Lmao.

Of course it isn't realistic but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a decent trade for both teams. Deals that are more lopsided on here (and we have seen 2 at least I think) are worse imo.

There actually is a reason why I'm bummed that this isn't more realistic, but I didn't want to list that reason because I didn't want people to change what they'd do because of it. I was going to try and make this into some sort of video for an NBA channel, but that's not going to happen now. Oh well. We'll turn it into a 2K sim!

Make next year we instate a "realustic" rule

There's really no way to institute that other than making players "untradeable". It'd be guys that wouldn't get traded for anybody (Giannis, Harden, Lillard, Westbrook, George, Jokic, etc). And if someone wanted to trade one of them they'd have to make a compelling argument as to why it's realistic. It's crazier than last year.

I do this for fun but I also think it's enjoyable if people take it seriously enough so that it feels real. I think they only way to achieve that though was if you had someone from each fanbase running their team and had it on a media platform.

The problem is that realistically very few trades and stuff ever happen. You wouldn't really have a game if it was measured by what would “really happen”.

While it's true that guys like Giannis, Harden, Jokic, Curry, and Dame wouldn't be traded in real life this summer, just look at how many trades and big names have switched teams recently. I don't get how anyone could say that very few trades happen. There's literally been a shit ton of trades the last two years.

If every team fired their GM and a new one took over this summer there would most certainly be a lot of trades as GM's tried to maneuver their rosters to bring in players they like. The realistic part of this game would take place only after several years of having the same team and having to live with the moves you made. I would love to keep this going for years to try that experiment but unfortunately I don't think we have enough people that super into it like a few of us are.

We could have a hands on owner that you have to get approval from to make a stupid trade but I really don't like the idea of telling people they can't operate their team however they want.

My guess is what 15-20 trades a year? I mean its a decent amount but you dont have GM’s go out and remake their entire roster every year. Also while stars do get traded its almost always driven by a star demanding to be and therefore getting less than they’re probably worth.

Guys get traded in the NBA, Im not saying they dont but it also doesnt happen as fast or as frequently as trades in a game like this happen.

I could absouletly see Chris Paul being traded this summer. I could also see a team like the Magic thinking if they got a vet star, even an aging one, that they could reach a new level. Now the difficult part is that there is no way it would take anywhere near what they gave up to get him but we've seen trades like that (Celtics-Nets) in real life.

Well I could make the case that a lot of GM's should be trying to overhaul their crappy rosters and don't try hard enough to make things happen. If you were a Wolves fan would you rather run it back with KAT flanked by Teague and Wiggins or Jrue Holiday and Andre Drummond? I'd be stoked if I was a Wolves fan and they didn't even mortgage any future or young assets to do it.

Oh I absolutely understand. Just saying “reality”, in terms of trades and stuff probably isnt nearly as fun as the game is.

I'm in one of these with @ScottFL on a Detroit site and they don't follow hardly any trade rules. People literally trade their whole teams. Scott is the Pelicans and he still has the #1 pick (Zion) along with Jrue, Bradley Beal, Jayson Tatum, Kevin Love, and Marcus Smart. LOL.

I like that we try to follow the trade rules.

Agreed upon trade:

ATL Gets:
5th Pick

CLE Gets:
10th Pick
17th Pick
Their 2020 1st Round Pick Back

I just wanted CP3 to have to play for a crapy team
