Hey everyone! I wanted to post this while the traffic on here is still heavy so we can hopefully get a participant for every team. Last year was a lot of fun but we started it a little too late so we didn't have enough time to do free agency before the real free agency started and it kind of fizzled out. This year I'm going to stay on top of it so we can actually finish it.
Here are the details from last year:
Everyone playing would be assigned a team (or two if we only have 15 teams) and you'd be the GM of your team with complete control over any transactions. We'd then set a date for our fake NBA Draft. Before and during the draft you would be allowed to make as many trades as you want as long as they work under the CBA. You take on your team's exact roster, draft picks, etc. If it goes well we could even find a way to do a fake free agency.
As long as you are active and participate in it this type of thing is a lot of fun. It doesn't really matter how well you do as long as you are trying and don't just vanish so we have dormant teams. At the end we can compare rosters and see how everyone did and even revisit it at different points of the season or run 2K simulations to see what teams would win.
If you want to try it all you have to do is respond and put your top 3 choices in teams and I will decide who gets what team. For those that want the Blazers I will have a drawing/contest to see who gets them. If we don't get enough people I'm thinking about hitting up other forums of the leftover teams and getting people to join the site to participate.
I'm going to tag those that played last year, hopefully you all want to play again.
