He was a great guy! Tommy Meyers and the Manzanita Band were his band for a while and Tom was my neighbor in the Sierras. I have two of his albums. He's a lot like Arlo Guthrie when it comes to storytelling. Country Joe's mom was a trip. She was high up in the Berkely Socialist Party way back in the day. R.I.P! His double album live in Germany is a great place to start if you don't know his music.

Able to see him several times in bay area & once at Crystal Ballroom.

Last time I saw him was at the Lola Montez Nevada City Theater but I’d met him at Gary Snyders house before. I saw him first in 71 in the Bay Area. Maybe People's Park in Berkely or the Amphitheater.

I saw him a the Armory in Concord in 68
 
Saw him at rock festival.
Be the first one on your block to have your boy come home in a box.
Sadly, still relevant.
