Sad news. He was one of the truly good guys. And younger than me.
 
Holy shit. This is awful. I loved Jerome Kersey. What happened? Only 52!!
 
Wow I'm all choked up right now... I just can't believe it. I expected he duckworth death because of his weight problems, but Kersey looked damn healthy
 
This is hard to swallow. Such a great person, its hard to figure out what to think about this it was unexpected.

Right? I'm getting the same feelings I was when I heard about Robin Williams. Just out of nowhere. This sucks. Shock.
 
Jerome was the first autograph I ever got. I waited in line at the thriftway on Olson for over an hour. I still have the autographed card somewhere.

I can't believe this - too many awesome memories to count! I'll never forget #25.
 
I always knew I loved Jerome. I was a teenager when they were making playoff runs in the 90s. But I was caught off guard at how shocked and hurt I was learning about this and thus how much I love the Jerome and the Blazers. Rip City has had our hearts ripped out tonight.
 
Seemed like he was at every Blazer event for the last five years and always in a good mood. RIP.

Those guys were my heroes growing up. I'm still attached to each and every one of them and am in total shock to hear that one of my favorites of the bunch is now gone ... kind of in denial right now. He was just at an event yesterday ....

Yep I loved his commitment to this town and team. Nothing artificial about this kat. And he is one of my top Blazers of all time. Prob behind Clyde. And maybe ahead of Clyde.
 
I was born at meridian park. I was driving by there in Tualatin about 6:30-6:45ish tonight when an ambulance flew by me with sirens on and pulled into their E.R.

I bet that was him in there.

Horrible news. I've met Jerome and told him how much of a fan of his I was. Luke. Duck. Now Jerome. Damn.
 
Clyde Drexler on Kersey's passing: "He was the greatest guy, the nicest friend, teammate and brother."
