Sad day in American history. He was pure Americana.

ABM was a big fan from what I gather, as I’ve read about how he’ll do anything for Love

The performer — who was born Marvin Lee Aday and later known as Michael Lee Aday — was known by his singular stage name. ... Meat Loaf told Winfrey he received the "Loaf" half of his nickname in eighth grade, when he "stepped on a coach's foot and he screamed, 'Get off my foot, you hunk of meatloaf!'

Looks like you read the same Wikipedia article that I read except for the part about how he got his nickname.
Now, somebody please tell me how I got my nickname because my father told me one story and my mother told me a different story.
