Event RipCityTwo Suite Game, Sunday, March 29th, 3pm!

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Just got the date and time of our Suite Game.

As always, working on surprises and fun!

It's a Sunday game!

Looking for 14 of you to join me.

Post if you are interested in coming.
I would like to come if there's still room. If there's an extra ticket unclaimed, my son would also love to attend.

Really? Wow! That's super nice. Thank you! I'm very chill, generous and nice in person, you can ask Kingspeed.

How does it work? How do I go? Do we all meet up in a parking lot in the Albina neighborhood and board a 1960's school bus painted Blazers black and red and drive to the arena listening to hype up music like Too Short's Blow The Whistle on a kickass sound system installed prior by yours truly?

And there's really no cost? Can I contribute anything? Sorry, my sisters are unavailable. They both love dogs, too! One of them ironically also loves POKER! 😆
I think sly has been “Leg Hump” broken but honestly you don’t want to bring your sisters to see the nerds you will be hanging with. They’d never let you hear the end of it.

Me

Come on, we need a few more people to go.
We could invite a former player to join; I had an ex-Blazer come into my business one time a couple years ago, but can't remember who it was!!! How is that possible you ask? Well, he was a tall white guy and he said he was on the team for only a few months in the 1990's and I don't remember his name. I think I have an invoice with his name on it and I looked him up on the Internet or tried to and something interrupted my search (likely a phone call) and I don't remember if I ever finished the search. I think he was basically a very deep roster spot (did they have 2-way players or 10 day contracts in the 90's?) and said he had a knee injury that ended his career. He lives in Vancouver or Portland.

No, we're good. But thank you.

Haha, it was just a random thought. He seemed a really nice guy and I should have remembered or made note of who he was. It was kind of funny because my Blazers attire is what caused him to mention this to me. I often am wearing a team shirt, but almost always have a Blazers jacket on. He was like, "Blazers fan, are you? Well, I was Blazer, but just for a brief time"...and then briefly told me his story in a downplaying sort of way.

We talked about the current team a bit. I have many conversations with people during the work day due to the Blazers pinwheel and I have to be careful, because the classic scenario is this:

"Oh, you're a Blazers fan, eh? Great game last night..." and then they spoil it for me before I can't stop them. You see, I often watch the games later on full game replay and sometimes even finish it the next evening. So, during the season, I'm on my guard sometimes to dissuade people from spoiling me if I'm not caught up on my games.

I had a very mindless experience with this where I almost swore I was going to stop wearing Blazers stuff, after this, haha. A customer started this line of talk and this time I was able to say, "oh, hey, I haven't watched the game yet, so no spoilers, okay?"
And he didn't skip a beat and started talking about the game and then just said, "yeah, it was a good game, we won", and went on about what the game was like, without even saying whoops or anything. I was pretty shocked. It was almost like he didn't know what spoilers meant or maybe he delights in spoiling people? Maybe he's a professional spoiler-spiller? Anyway, it was messed up.

I once saw Ruben Boumtje Boumtje buying tater tots at a Walmart in Hermiston….. shall I reach out to him?

True story or snarky, underhanded gibe?

I just looked up this dude, Ruben and he was born in '78, just as I was. Interesting spelling of Reuben. One more 'B' and it would be a name that goes HARD, especially for the NBA. Or would be a great name for a Nascar driver. Rubben is racin'!

That sweetens the pot a bit. She’s a very nice lady.
She seems nice and genuine and has been through a lot in life, with the sudden loss she suffered. I hope Dundon keeps her. The players sure love her, although mascots seem to delight in terrorizing her.

Hey, Sly, too bad we all couldn't wear mascot rigs when we see her. We'd have to construct or put together our own getups, though. What kind of dog would you go as? Or even just one of us as a mascot, hidden in the center of our ranks and then standing up suddenly to loom menacingly over her....no, that would be mean. It is fun to see her laugh after getting surprised and scared by a mascot, though.

Looks like it's going to be raining on Sunday.

We're meeting Brooke at 1:45 pm at the broadcast studio.

She goes on the air at 2 pm so we really need to be there on time.

Soooo...

Be at Dr Jacks no later than 1:30 pm.

I will have all the tickets to get in.
