i believe that, by finishing out the fourth quarter, rj established a team record tonight for the most minutes played in a regular season. Thank goodness for overtime yesterday, I guess.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Belarus @ Apr 16 2008, 09:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>the more acute question is: was this the last game RJ played as a Net?</div>
They also gave RJ the last shot attempt at the end of regulation vs the Bobcats in the last home game. Was that meant to be kind of a "gesture" in case it might be his last game as a Net? Maybe.
You know, to match contracts to get Brand (or even Jermaine O'Neil) I don't think it's necessary to give up RJ. Swift and Hassell combined make up 10 million in a trade. Throw in Marcus and Sean and they come pretty close. Maybe Ager would have to included to get it done.
Another thing is, Al Iannazzone keeps mentioning Van Horn has a non-guaranteed contract that can be used in a trade. I believe he said they have until October to decide. He mentioned this twice. Is that another 4 million to use in a trade?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Van Horn has a non-guaranteed contract that the Nets will try and trade before its October deadline to become guaranteed. If not, they'll just waive him. So Keith will be an ex-Net for a second time.</div>
A core of Harris, Carter, Jefferson, and Brand with a supporting cast that can shoot and defend should be able to do something in the East.
